Hello, fellow Littens. It's time for another readathon. #TheCandyCaneReathaton theme is for when we go out to Christmas Parades or shopping, maybe even just being at home enjoying our hot chocolate with candy canes and a book just to relax and recharge. What book will you read during this time? A low-key readathon where you can tag me @Liseworks your choice of books and your progress

We got our tree up early this year. Listening to Kings College Choir and enjoying the lights.

Happy Krampusnacht! If you celebrate, how will you be celebrating tonight? @tiedyedude and I will be watching Krampus and reading stories from the tagged book. And I've been wearing this pin at work all this week.😁 I would love to go to a Krampus parade in Germany or Austria some day! #Krampus #Krampusnacht

Quick, easy-breezy Christmas novella that I read between two bigger, heavier books. A palette-cleanser, if you will. Ivy is stranded in a small town during a snowstorm and is invited to stay with Luke‘s grandmother until the roads open again. Her short stay in the cute little town affords her the chance to re-evaluate her life and also fall for Luke. Bonus points for a cute cover, a sweet little dog, Ginger, and a matchmaking grandmother.

For anyone who is thinking about writing a cosy Christmas mystery, I have some advice. If you're going to do a cheesy set up with festive puzzles or (in this case) characters called Colonel Colman and Reverend Teal... it does not work to start tackling highly triggering subject matter.
It doesn't matter how sensitively it is handled, the book loses its identity as a cosy and leaves you feeling sad.

April 18th #DynamicDs Doll The best doll ever is the Barbie. So, of course, there are tv series about her and her friends. @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
