Four out of five stars. This book was beautifully written, and I very much enjoyed reading it. The simple love story was sweet and genuine. However there was a lack of conflict, and excitement. (Perhaps due to its autobiographical nature) I much preferred Anne‘s other book- The tenant of wildfell hall. My current work in progress is filling my heart up. This is exactly the type of book I like to read. Anne Bronté you have gained an enthusiastic fan for your work. saresmoore Absolutely! I think I liked the flow of story better in Tenant, but I appreciate her spirit and love of words and people that is so evident in Agnes Grey. This one is more autobiographical, I think. 6y
