The Autobiography of Gucci Mane | Gucci Mane, Neil Martinez-Belkin

Pickpick

Picked this up based on good reviews and a fabulous cover but no knowledge of the author. No worries as it's a highly entertaining memoir even when read in pure ignorance. Learned many new vocabulary words 😂👵🙋 Oh and apparently know Gucci Mane from the movie Spring Breakers 🎬 #mommyreads #memoir #music #atl

Cinfhen The cover alone is worth checking out this book 😀great review🙌🏻 7y

This ended up reminding me of comic series The Kitchen with tough women navigating a gritty, male dominated world of crime and punishment. The 70s -era racism, sexism, and homophobia is hard to read at times but the story is a compelling read all the same. #mommyreads #atl #crime #ebook

Line of cars in #Atlanta dropping off private donations (bottled water, canned food, medicine) for #PuertoRicoRelief is incredible. #proud of #ATL. We ❤️#PuertoRico. The devastation on all the islands breaks my heart. Do what you can.

Happy #BookFairyDay! @autumnprivett and I hid books all around #Atlanta and #GreenvilleSC in honor of #GoodreadsTurns10. Check out our Instagram stories over on @thereadingwomen for more clues to where you can find them!

So ends my #ATL #booktour . Had hoped to find something at the Mall of Georgia #Barnesandnoble for the hat-trick, but no such luck (should've hit up Little 5 Points instead).

A fine looking #TBR if I do say so myself, and a bleak relapse into my old book-buying habits. Good thing payday was yesterday.

Reviewsbylola Pachinko!! My husband is reading The Lost City of Z right now but it's taking him forever. He seems to be in a slump right now. 8y

#ATL #booktour Stop 6 pt. 2

#didnotbuy , but felt I owed it to my past self to confirm that this book is indeed available in stores. Really like the movie, but was a bit let down to learn the book is essentially the word-for-word script.

#ATL #booktour Stop 6 - Tall Tales Book Shop

Easily the brightest bookstore I've visited, with helpful staff and complementary cookies at checkout. Always commit to buying something when I visit an #indiebookstore; save the window shopping for the big chains.

Another purchase to prompt an overdue reading of an earlier book in a series. I try to seek out hardcovers, so there's a kind of relief to paperback-only books.

#ATL #booktour Stop 5, pt. 2

Nothing like an upcoming film adaptation to finally get me to check out an acclaimed best seller. Was torn between this and Tenth of December, but I couldn't remember if I'd already bought that one.
