Here are my 19 favourite reads (I think) of 2019. I was going to make a nice graphic but I‘m too lazy and just pulled the titles from my shelves. 😆
Thanks for inspiring me to do this, @Centique ! 😘
And here you go, @Cinfhen and @BarbaraBB ! 😘😘
A poetic, stream of conscience kind of memoir about WWI. Not for me. #1001books
My #bathandbook tonight is super fun and colorful!
I‘m in the middle of the tagged book right now for #nyrbbookclub. The bad news is I won‘t finish it in time for tomorrow‘s discussion. The good news is it‘s my favorite NYRB title ever (so far).
In the summer of 1929 a steamship departs from the US to China. The weather turns unexpectedly rough and the ship is being swept up in the vortex of an immense hurricane. Caught in the struggle for survival, both the crew and the ship are tested as never before.
An okay read, not really my kind of book but it was nice to spend a Sunday in front of the fire while it was raining outside all day.
One of the best books I've ever read. I cannot understand why it wasn't appreciated more when first published, but I'm thankful #NYRB gave it a second life! A melancholy novel about life, work, disappointment, & the love of literature, this novel was so real & incited every range of emotion in me. 5⭐️s! So so sorry for the delay, this will reach its destination in a couple of days! #LMPBC #Round7 #GroupC #WinterGames #TBRRead #TMSkellington
