I served as a coordinator for Mesu Andrews. I had the opportunity to host her in my home for a conference, drive her to Indiana, & meet her Mama. When this photo was taken she was speaking at a Ladies Retreat. She invited me as her guest at a time I couldn‘t afford an experience like that. She is a real woman with needs, health struggles & a heart for obeying God to love others. This is my favorite book of hers though not usually chosen by others.

A soft pick for book 6 of the Thumps Dreadful water series. Thumps is a suitably cranky misanthrope with a gigantic soft spot (a subplot finds him caring for a litter of kittens) but the mystery was kind of meh and the small town of Chinook might have surpassed the acceptable quota of quirky locals. Still I liked it enough to keep going, appreciated the subtle incorporation of racial politics, and I love kittens! 🤪 I might go back and try book 1.

Headed to our 3rd family gathering in 24 hours and felt a need to bring my book. While I'm grateful to spend time with family, part of me is craving some alone time. 🙃

My best friend since we were 14,does not use any social media & requests that her picture never be posted.I am honoring her by plastering her body with friendship quotes! She is unexpectedly coming to visit me tomorrow from D.C.We have lived apart since she left for college with the exception of about 2 yrs together in Boston.We constantly laugh together!

I really enjoy this series and highly recommend it for those who have read and enjoyed oher works by King, and those who like mystery series with calm, laid-back protagonists.
