I saw Tony Horwitz on book tour a week before he died, and I'm so grateful I was able to hear someone so fascinating speak before he was gone. I decided then that this masterpiece had been on my shelf unread for too long. It's astounding that it was written 20 years ago, since literally everything is the same.

This is more than just a book about yoga poses. Jessamyn digs deep to break down the stereotypes about yoga commonly found in Western society. She addresses appropriation, body shaming, and coming to the mat no matter your body shape, color or size. It‘s a truly inspirational read.
