Happy Hump Day fellow book lovers! What book‘s helping you get through today? I‘ve been in WWII France and Germany all afternoon with All The Light We Cannot See. There are reasons this book won the Pulitzer. So. Good. And I‘m only halfway through.

kstadt929 Love that book! One of my favorites 6y
Augustdana Got through my meeting this afternoon knowing Rebecca is waiting for me at home 😲😆 6y

staci.reads Incredible book! Masterfully written! 6y
readherwriteher @staci.reads I agree. 6y
Emilymdxn The cover is so gorgeous I love those colours 6y
readherwriteher @Emilymdxn it‘s beautiful. Blues are my favourite too. 💙 6y
Augustdana @readherwriteher it‘s great so far, she writes like a dream 6y
readherwriteher @Augustdana I‘ll have to see if my Library has a copy. 😊 It‘s one of those books I‘ve heard a lot about but still don‘t know what it‘s actually about. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 6y
IMASLOWREADER its in my never ending list 6y
readherwriteher @MizDoniaBuding I feel you on that. We all have them. 6y
miggymag I have this in my TBR stack 😍. I am a sucker for anything set during WW2. 6y
readherwriteher @miggymag me too. It was such a horrific war, and what the Reich did to all those Jewish people makes me sick to my stomach. Such horror. It still surprises me that as much went unchecked or unnoticed for as long as it did. This book also has the added element of a cursed diamond being hidden by the French. (edited) 6y
miggymag @readherwriteher Agreed. I get so wrapped up in these types of books because it is so hard even imagine living through something like that. It is crazy to fathom that even the historical fiction set in that time is based off of actual horrific events. (edited) 6y

I didn't know this and I definitely should! #bookfacts #worldbookday

charl08 That's such a lovely expression of the idea. 7y
Moray_Reads It's a really lovely book, some fascinating etymology alongside a story set in the 15th century and the authors experience of writing the book itself 7y

This is titled, "Surprising Book Facts", but it was cut off in this pic. I was surprised about the fact that 70% of US adults haven't been in a bookstore in the last five years. ? I'm there like every weekend lol.

#bookfacts

Marchpane I wonder how that compares to library usage? Also, 57% of new books are not read to completion? 57% ??? 8y
That-Bookish-Hiker @Marchpane I didn't think about library usage, that would be a great added fact to this. 8y
