pickThis was a reread for me. I really enjoyed it again. It is set in a resort that is known for its library. Unfortunately, it books are to die for literally, and Jane, the manager and newly appointed protector, is left trying to slove the case before another murder occurs or worse, the book that was stolen disappears permanently.

pickEnding my month of Erdrich on a high note. This book is comprised of interconnected stories centered around the unsolved murder of a family with a baby the only survivor. The ramifications start swiftly with misplaced vigilante violence and don‘t stop impacting lives for decades. The superbly drawn characters, intricate plotting, and breadth of emotions I felt while reading make this a new favorite of her books.
pickHigh/epic fantasy isn't really my thing, but it sure is when it's narrated by the Hot Priest himself, Andrew Scott. Wowza! He really does steal the show in anything he touches.
