My first Holly Black novel, a book club pick, and I really enjoyed it. I appreciate Black‘s diction, and she clearly knows how to write a page-turner that I couldn‘t put down (I literally fell asleep with it in-hand, “one more chapter...”); my only criticism would be some cliché tropes and stereotypical elements.
