I‘m sure this book is considered controversial in some circles but I thought it was spot on. Of course, my opinion is based on the fact that I raised a son as a single parent, and practiced what the book would call “authoritative parenting.” My son is now a sensible 42-year-old man with two well-adjusted kids and a loving wife. So, when I read a book that affirms my parenting style, what‘s not to like? As they say "the proof is in the pudding." ⬇️

suvata “Bad Therapy: Why the Kids Aren‘t Growing Up” by Abigail Shrier is an investigative work that delves into the mental health industry‘s impact on American children. Shrier argues that the industry is causing harm rather than providing healing. She presents evidence that Gen Z‘s mental health is deteriorating, with rising youth suicide rates and widespread antidepressant prescriptions. ⬇️ 1mo
suvata The book criticizes the current therapeutic approaches, suggesting they have significant side effects and minimal proven benefits.

5feet.of.fury Oooh interesting! I suspect I would probably be reading this with some confirmation bias just looking at the blurb but… it sounds really interesting 1mo
suvata @5feet.of.fury I thought it was a great book. I often like to read books that challenge my beliefs but, surprisingly, this one affirmed them. 😀 1mo

Finished this afternoon. While not my favourite book in the series, it does do a lot of set up for the remaining books. 4 1/2 ⭐️ #2019 #bookstgram #bookreview #harrypotter #gobletoffire

This book was pretty fun to read. The narration was kind of different and very conversational; I'd compare it to an oral history report. It's was also pretty funny and I found some parts too hilarious and cute.

Overall, I liked the fluffy feel of the book. It was equal parts hilarious and cute.
