I attempted to read this before, but I just couldn't bring myself to care about the characters.

This time, I decided to get the audiobook, which made it a little easier to listen to and complete the story. However, I'm not a fan.
The narrative felt redundant since we already knew Snow was an evil tyrant. The details of how it happened didn't interest me, and I believe that contributes to my dislike.
The story wasn't bad, it just wasn't needed.

Sorry to say, but I don't like this one bit.

I found every character to be utterly unlikable. The narrative failed to engage me for the majority of its duration. Furthermore, I felt completely detached from what I interpreted as mere gossip.

TheAromaofBooks Literally I had a little character list when I was reading this to help me keep everyone straight... then I started X-ing them out as they died... then kind of found myself hoping that EVERYONE was going to be Xed by the end 😂 1mo
Enchanted_Bibliophile @TheAromaofBooks O, how satisfying that last X would have been. I would have bouble Xed Heathcliff's name 4w

This is a rather boring book. It's about Barton Dawes a man whose house is about to be turned into a highway. He doesn't handle it well, infact he goes nuts 🚧
