Love stories like this about bookworms finding ways to share their love of books with others. 😊

I still have to finish two more books by the end of the year, but in the meantime I‘m going to call the tagged book my #FavoriteDecemberRead because I think it needs some more love from Litsy. Here are the rest.
-Force of Nature (Harper) 🇦🇺
-Christmas Cake Murder (Fluke) 👎🏻
-Ellen‘s Lion (Johnson) 🦁
-Winter at the Door (Graves) 🌲

I am still dreaming about these characters and experiencing all the emotions that they felt throughout this book. My heart breaks for these lovers who go through all measures just to be together. This book is incredibly well written and captivating. I will definitely be looking up more books by Julie Kibler and adding them to my TBR list!

Life in pre-Civil War Cincinnati is not very #jolly for Olivia Givens and her family, but it‘s not boring either! After immigrating from Belfast, she deals with the loss of her parents, her brothers‘ quirky personalities, provincial society‘s expectations, the shifting sands of abolition and slavery...and more! Though I‘m tiring a bit of the elderly-woman-looks-back-on-her-life trope, I enjoyed this book. Olivia is great! #hollyjollyreading

ljuliel I just saw this at the library today but didn‘t pick it up. Maybe next time ! 1mo

In homage to Pride and Prejudice, Sittenfeld writes a modern day Bennet-Darcy comedic drama, in which Mrs Bennet‘s hope for weddings for her daughters turns complicated. I‘ve heard mixed reviews on this one...haven‘t had a chance to read it, but did score a cheap copy to try it out! #TheRingGoesSouth #SoaringScores

Not really a huge fan of super skinny books and this one was just not really making a ton of sense to me either. The only reason I didn‘t bail is because I was basically done the book in 10 minutes. Would not recommend.👎🏼

MrsBabki Darn it - this is the book that introduced me to novel in verse and I loved the idea of feeling like a different person depending on who you are around. 4mo
