pick⭐️⭐️⭐️ I hated that Miles‘s POV was center aligned. Stylistically, it wasn‘t a good choice, but his chapters provided straight-forward, necessary background, even if I thought that storyline was cringy and dramatic. The current-day pieces from Tate‘s POV were solid. Pretty standard #CoHo fare. I liked it. One book closer to completing her backlist.

Nothing like #CoHo for maximum emotional enjoyment!
This story is told from the alternating perspectives of Morgan Grant and her teenage daughter Clara, who have a strained relationship. Morgan got pregnant and married young, and wants to prevent Clara from making the same mistakes. Clara rebels against her mother and falls in love with a boy who has a connection to their family‘s past.
I‘ve gotten really tired of people asking me if I‘ve read this, and since the last CoHo I read was “Layla,” I feel compelled to rinse that from my brain. I have to say, I just…don‘t get the hype. But it‘s fine so far, and it‘s a fast read. So, we‘ll see: I know there‘s some major twist eventually, but…I just don‘t think she‘s really my bag, and that‘s okay. pan⭐️⭐️ It pains me to slam a #CoHo book, but this was so dumb. I loved the idea of BFFs Hoover and Fisher alternating writing chapters, building the story on the fly. It sounds so fun, but this story isn‘t interesting nor believable, and has no real resolution. The writing is marginal at best and goes on for all eternity. Edit that shit down! What a waste of time and $15. #thankunext

pick⭐️⭐️⭐️ Not my favorite #CoHo, but since I finally just read the two Hopeless Series novellas, which timeline-wise flank this installment, a #reread seemed appropriate. Through alternating timelines of “Then” and “Now,” Graham and Quinn go through an emotional wringer as they navigate marriage and infertility.

Speechless... Hoover is so good at presenting a situation realistically and making you see that problem from a different lens. I now get why I have seen this book everywhere and why it's getting so much hype. Hoover is a gem of a woman and deserves every last bit of hype!
