Introduced little man to latkes today (thanks to @TheBookHippie for posting this recipe!) so I wanted to share my favorite Hanukkah song for #TuesdayTunes @TieDyeDude

(He really liked them, idk why this is the face I got 🤣 he had his w/applesauce but it‘s always sour cream for me)

Drenched in Light | Lisa Wingate
Pickpick

This is the fourth book in the series Tending Roses. I have found the characters to be really nice and interesting. I especially enjoyed Dell Jordan and Julia Costell in this novel. The way Lisa Wingate brings her characters to life makes me have faith in humanity. 4.5/5⭐️

If you couldn't already guess from my litsy spam, I loved this graphic novel. About a young man moving to New York to explore his dream of dancing on Broadway. Wonderful illustrations.

"I have had my dream-like others-
And it has come to nothing so that
I remain now carelessly
With feet planted on the ground,
And look up at the sky-
Feeling my clothes about me,
The weight of my body in my shoes,
The rim of my hat, air passing in and out
At my nose-and decide to dream no more."

Beautifully illustrated GN: this is a wordless depiction of one character's trauma.

Loved the way the author used these line drawings as chapter breaks.
