This book took me over a year to read it but well worth it. Enjoyed the tome and all its characters.

Oh, this book put me in an ethical turmoil, because I didn't know what to think about it. But more and more I saw it as a What If. What if women acted like men and treated them likewise? This made the whole experience very interesting. We learn some new very interesting facts, people get eaten and I wanted to hit a specific character with his own book.
April was an easy month as I only finished one (it was a weird life month). But even if I finished more than one, I could see this still being my favorite. Recency bias made me want to pick it over Queen Hereafter but went back to the ratings and Queen was rated higher. So here we are!

Get the hype. Wanted to read this before watching the hbo movies. I‘m glad I did because it was so good. The audiobook version was well produced. Different narrators for different characters so a little easier to follow. There were times it got to be a lot, but I imagine that will make it a more in depth movie.
Loved the first half and then I don‘t know how I finished this. I need more action and lots more science. Thank goodness I watched the movies first…how did he write this? I made it through but will rewatch the movies to see if I really now get it. 😬 We don‘t all have to love what everyone else loves!
I am only slightly panicking about The Hunters Of Dune being my #BookSpin 😅 At least I've already started with my #DoubleSpin this morning (call it intuition!). Well, let's see where April will take us 📚

Didn‘t care for this one too much. It felt like information/storyline that was too much to add to either the first or third books so Herbert made it its own book. Or like an after thought to connect plot lines between books.
I‘m going to go on to book 3, so this one hasn‘t put me off the series 😊
On a whim decided to read this. I knew nothing except sci-fi and futuristic.
It was interesting and good enough I put a hold in on the second book.
The story was good, the writing good, I liked most of the characters. We shall see where the series takes us.
It's been a loooooong time since I read the og 6 Dune books. And I've been avoiding these non-Frank Herbert sequels and prequels because I just kind of did not care, even though Dune 6 ended on a cliffhanger, then FH died. But I enjoyed the latest Dune films and am enjoying the series Dune: Prophecy, so I thought "could be fun to get back into that world."
"Fun" is not the right word, unfortunately. This book was fine bordering on lame. ?♀️
