I haven't read a Christina Lauren in a little while. It was a quick read with great characters, lots of family drama, and all you'd expect from one of their books. I enjoyed it. 🤓

According to Ye Olde Goode Reads, I have read 4 of Clowes' books since 2016, but Monica is the first 5 star. This one truly had the capaciousness, & complexity, of a fleshed out novel. , This has much in common with other Clowes works I have read but it was def. a step beyond. One of the first books that I read after my move back in Feb. & I specifically recall it breaking through my mental fatigue at the time as a special work.

3 Stars • Christina Lauren‘s The Paradise Problem is a sparkling rom-com blending wit and warmth. Anna Green, a struggling artist, and Liam Weston, a reserved professor, fake a marriage at a lavish island wedding to secure his $100 million inheritance. ⬇️
It‘s spring! My daffodils have finally bloomed. 🥰
This book was a fun, quick read. I‘m glad they only used the “word” “lol” once in the book. It also had THE LONGEST epilogue! Other than that, the story was pretty good. I think this is only my second Christina Lauren book.
I read this in 2016 and didn‘t love it. It was my first audiobook, I had just gotten back into reading, and I think listening to the multiple POV format was too much. After a reread of the audio, I am in love!! The multiple POV enhances the story so much because all the characters are so internal. We really need their opinions of each other and peripheral stories to see everything as it is. 💛💛💛💛/5!
I rarely read rom-com books but this came up on Libby audio, many laugh out loud moments, a good plot and I liked the different pov from Anna and Liam , good ending oh and you can‘t have a good rom-com without some 🌶️😉
