Very enjoyable book about an ordinary man in England, good at engineering, who does extraordinary things to help his orphaned niece and meets up with interesting people. Shute‘s last book and among his best.

Started a book by an author I like from Australia who died way back in 1960. About an ordinary man, good at engineering, who must undertake a sea voyage from England. He never did it before.

SayersLover This is one of my favorite books by Nevil Shute. I hope you enjoy it 2w
KCofKaysville @SayersLover I can tell it is another good one. I have read 7 of his books and they all have been good. 2w

Ali‘s short stories don‘t have the spice of the longer reads but great for quick listens and fast-paced

I loved everything about this sweet romance! The right amount of spice and very lovable characters, except for Seth the dirtbag. I loved reading all the Indian phrases and words of endearment. I‘ve never been to India, but I love reading about Indian culture through the voices of characters like these. Book #8 in 2025

This book was just read to me on utube. It was so annoying 🙄. But hey, maybe it was good to get the kids' attention, lol. #ISpyBingoAugust @Clwojick @TheAromaofBooks

For Naina Kumar's first novel, Say You‘ll Be Mine truly had everything a reader could want! She skillfully brought this story to life, weaving in vibrant threads of culture, tradition, and the hurdles of love along the way.
