At first, I thought there was no way I could read it. Another book of annoying teens… but just hang in there through meeting them all and it‘s a fast-paced read with an ending you cannot guess!

I couldn‘t put this book down! A spooky thriller with supernatural elements.
At first, I wasn‘t sure if I could stick with it with slow investigating but once it picks up, you‘re really intrigued to figure out whodunnit
I only read this because my son is reading it in class. It‘s a short read for an adult but let me tell you, it doesn‘t mess around. Straight to the action and how on earth is this kid going to survive! The only thing I didn‘t like is he kept saying “the secret.”
A specialized lawyer is helping a custody case by being the lawyer and voice for a little girl who won‘t speak and her nanny just died. Turns out, to protect the little girl, our main character might just need to investigate the nanny‘s death to ensure she makes the right choice.
Newlyweds are haunted and trapped in a small town until they solve a decades-old crime. This one was a touch boring. An okay story but seemed longer than it needed to be.
A story based in medieval times with modern language. Skip the pain of reading writing like Charles Dickens *puke.* Also enjoy some fantasy without having to make a flow chart *cough GOT cough.*
Sooo behind on posting! Thoroughly enjoyed this spicy tale of revenge… however… the ending almost ruined it for me. While the plot twist spiced things up, it almost felt anticlimactic in the end with how it was used.
I‘m convinced Riley Sager needs to hurt real Ghostbusters for all these books. A thriller-mystery with plenty of twists and great reference on bad parenting lol.
Keeps you guessing on who the guilty culprit could be but let me tell ya, it‘s not real scuba of their behavior 🤙
The cover drew me in and the story kept me going. Two mysteries are trying to be simultaneously solved while jumping back and forth between decades in an easy-to-follow fashion. My first legal thriller was meh but this one was much better. Is Bobby guilty? Who killed Jessica? What about the following mysteries? Gripping until the end!
A quick listen at just four hours, #CrimeTime is a comedy thriller that‘s just the meat and no waiting for the action. It can be a great buffer between more dramatic stories.
Phew, this one is a doozy that shows some of the worst of social media. TW: miscarriage, infant death, suicide
If you love listening to true crime podcasts, this is a great book about Sharon Faye Smith and Debra May Helmick. You get to hear how the Police and FBI figured out what absolutely garbage excuse of a human caused havoc in a small town..
It is undeniably Liam‘s fault. …Right?
Book 2 of the Ruinous Love Trilogy was a great follow-up of the same concept as the first. This story follows enemies to lovers that get themselves into quite the predicament. The things people will do for love are tested in this story.
A spooky ghost may be haunting a guy who can‘t sleep or remember things after his life falls apart and he moves into his parents‘ house. His bestie was kidnapped from the same tent and has been a mystery ever since. While labeled as a thriller, more of a mystery of rumors in a small town around a missing boy. Another Riley Sager book that didn‘t disappoint.
A twisty tale well done that has you questioning everyone‘s motives and leaves you surprised!
Feel-good brief romance story for a quick pick me up. For a short story, it builds a well-detailed story without any drawn out parts.
A solid mystery that keeps you intrigued until the end. I took a chance since it was on Audible Plus and worth the listen.
This book W-R-E-C-K-E-D me. I needed a break. Anyone who can tolerate the triggers is in for a wonderful story. Triggers include: rape, torture, kidnapping. And the triggers are intense. I will recommend this book time and time again.
An okay story where a small bit of communication would‘ve shortened the book by at least 100 pages. The twist seemed too far fetched to believe.
A great mystery but sooo many characters can have you getting lost trying to remember who is who.
Security badges would really go so far. The ending had me screaming!! I kept clicking through the rest of the book trying to find more.
I may or may not have gotten the B&N signed special edition and the Walmart edition. Another Jeneva Rose thriller to love. This one is fast-paced and could be read in a day or two. Trying to get along with your estranged siblings through grief isn‘t easy, especially when you discover your parents kept an awful secret!
A captivating story of survival, sacrifices, and healing. I couldn‘t stop listening! A true mystery of what is Ellie Black hiding.
This was my first Sally Hepworth book and it did not disappoint. I went back and re read some sections to make sure I understood what was happening and who was who. That last chapter really seals the deal!
I don‘t think I could get tired of Freida McFadden books. Quick reads that have you hooked from start to finish. The last twist is huge but brought about subtly that you really have to stop and think about it.
Amnesia. An annoying and good-looking podcaster. Visiting your parents against your will. Everyone thinks you killed your best friend. How could a trip home be a bad idea? I loved Lucy‘s sarcasm and humor. Loved trying to figure it out as you read the podcast interviews and Lucy trying to remember something. Anything.
My favorite thing about John Marrs books is that your reach a conclusion but you still have plenty of book left and you KNOW there are more twists. Engaging from start to finish, I hit 10% left and thought it could be complete. But nay nay, there was one last thing to drop your jaw!
I absolutely loved the ending and was hoping it would make up for the slower mid-section. The slow-building leads to an unexpected twist that makes sense still leaves you surprised.
My usual thriller reads have angry partners and the mess they‘ve created. This one is on such a larger scale and gave me spy-thriller vibes (but much better). It all starts with a lie and you gotta hang on for the ride to see what‘s the truth!
It‘s a slow start to get into with lots of names at the beginning but worth sticking it out. A teenager trying to solve possible murders in her town keeps you rooting for her.
Freida had me up until 3am finishing this book in a day. Such a stressful read and makes me know I could never work in a psych unit!
A great example of why you should NOT keep it in the family.
Another good thriller where you don‘t know who to trust and exactly who‘s who.
I chose this ‘romance‘ as a break from thrillers and the thought of serial killers falling in love had me intrigued. By god, it‘s giving romance, thriller, comedy, and smut! This book will have you fanning yourself, giggling, panicked, and in dark, twisted love 🖤
“That is the final twist.”
This might be my new favorite Alex Michaelides book. I‘m not a slow burn person but as the pieces fall into place, it‘s like a symphony at the crescendo. I thoroughly enjoyed the touch of humor. Now that I‘ve read all his books, I can say that they are not a series but the characters show up in each book and the stories have a thin string tying them together. They can be read independently but create a larger world.
The first half of the book, I wasn‘t feeling all the mythology and was feeling overall meh about the book. But I am not one to DNF. All the good stuff happens at the end right?
I had to pick my jaw up off the ground at this ending. I really thought I had the right suspects but woooo Nelly was I WRONG! Stayed up late to finish so I could start The Fury by the same author tomorrow.
The cover made me think it was a spooky story but it‘s a regular thriller with some twists you can‘t guess. A homeless woman on the run saves a rich housewife from downing but her life is so much more than that and wait until you find out about what kind of person her husband is.
It‘s giving chaotic, psychotic, neurotic, traumatic, and even a touch of necrotic. The only phrase you need for this book is WTF. I imagine this one will stick with me for some time.
Another great book by Freida McFadden! I did notice some similarities between this book and “The Inmate” but it‘s quite the different story that keeps you guessing. I‘d venture to say the latter plot twists in the story are even impossible to guess!
Brooke, girl, what is you doing. Consider my jaw dropped. This book is a WILD ride and a page turner until the end. And the epilogue? Don‘t skip it!!

If you‘re looking for a thriller where you won‘t be able to guess the twists and ending, you‘ve found it. There‘s left field and then there‘s switching sports entirely. While it was a decent read, the major shift is so out of … context? Or … idk… just out there that it‘s like you picked up a different book.
At first I wasn‘t sure if I could handle the days going backwards but I‘ll be darned if it wasn‘t so delicately put together. The ending is *chefs kiss*!
