After finishing the Rainbow Fairy series, my granddaughter and I have moved on to the Weather Fairy series. Cute and creative. Each book is usually 6 chapters, we usually read a book in 2 face time/ bed time readings. My four-year-old granddaughter loves the stories, loves the illustrations, and loves it when I read each character in a different voice. Especially the goblin voice😅

Little Witch Hazel is who I want to be when I grow up, a chubby lady with hairy legs and a big pointy red hat living in a cozy little house in the forest helping her fellow creatures. There are four stories in the book, one for each season. They all evoke the season so viscerally. The illustrations are sooo beautiful and full of tiny gem details (like a little elf breastfeeding a baby floating on a leaf in a pond).

tpixie This sounds lovely 🥰 4mo
Chrissyreadit This sounds like a book I would have loved to read with my kids. 4mo
StaceGhost I just got this from the library & we loved it so much we had to buy a copy! 4mo

Anyone else on the Storygraph app?

I just opened my account! caseythecanadianlesbrarian is my username as usual.

Let's be bookish friends on a book tracking platform that isn't owned by Amazon (*cough*Goodreads*cough*) and was founded by a Black woman!

Here I am: https://app.thestorygraph.com/profile/caseythecanadianlesbrarian

Johanna414 Just added you! 4mo

Clare-Dragonfly Sent a friend request! I still don‘t know what to do with friends there but I like having my Litsy friends collected there as well 😆 4mo
fredamans Added you. 4mo
Lindy I created a storygraph account a couple of months ago and then just felt lost there. I use Goodreads to track my reading, not for the social aspect, and I know I can do that in storygraph too, but it seemed like too much effort to learn a new system. Maybe I will go back and try again because, like you, I prefer to avoid Amazon. 4mo
Kitta Added you! I‘m continuing to use both because while I like the features of Goodreads, I dislike Amazon so I‘m trying to move over but it‘s hard to break away! The graphs on storygraph are great though. 4mo
CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian @Clare-Dragonfly yeah I'm still figuring everything out! 4mo
CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian @Lindy the effort of learning a new system kept me from trying it out for a while! 4mo
khooliha Sent a request! I'm not super social on any book social media (Litsy is my most outgoing), but I do love that Storygraph will make me a pie chart whenever I ask. 4mo
Bookzombie I like Storygraph. The only thing I wish it had was the the library extension so I still research books on Goodreads some. Sending friend‘s request now. 🙂 4mo
CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian @khooliha yeah the charts are so cool! 4mo
janeycanuck Just sent you a request. I‘m still running my Goodreads in parallel to StoryGraph because I can‘t track wishlist books but there‘s some good stuff going - I particularly enjoy the recommendations engine! 4mo
CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian @janeycanuck I think I'll be using them both for the foreseeable future too! 4mo

I bought this book for my kid and we love it so far! (It has four stories, one for each season, and we've just read the spring one). Beautiful illustrations and whimsical fairytale like.

Izzy the Indigo Fairy is the 6th missing fairy in the Rainbow Magic series to be found by friends, Rachel & Kirsty. My 4 yr old granddaughter & I are reading this series via facetime. I love how it sparks her imagination & our conversation! In this book, Rachel & Kirsty are transported to the luscious Land of Sweets through a storybook of fairy tales. There, they must rescue Izzy & reunite her with her sisters. Wonderful (cont in comments)...

TheHeartlandBookFairy Wonderful line drawing illustrations and creative storytelling with so much imagination! One more to go in this series, Adeline has already picked out her next Series within this series❤📚🌈 #ReadingWithTheGrands 6mo

There are a bunch of Mini series within this series & she's already picked out the next set that we're going to read ? As we finished this book she commented "Nonnie, Your nails match Sky the fairy...blue and sparkly!" I guess I'm going to have to up my nail game now to match her books?

The only thing better than delving into a book I really love, is reading with my grandchildren! Book 4 in the rainbow magic series is complete, on to book 5 next. My granddaughter and I read via face time. We usually finish a book in 2-3 sessions depending on how tired she is or what's going on. We finished this book on Sunday and she surprised me with a song about the colors of the rainbow. (Cont in comments)

TheHeartlandBookFairy This sweet series sparks the imagination, prompts reasoning skills, and provide some wonderful teaching moments. 🌈🧚‍♂️💕 7mo

A perfect introduction into chapter books.

Cortg My daughter enjoyed these when she was younger and I have a neighbor kid named Saffron. I wonder if she‘s seen this one 🤔 7mo
