A good, sink-into, partially estranged family story. I really liked the characters, the pacing, the writing. I will definitely be reading more this author.

2 days ago my backyard was covered in 6in" of snow; today outdoor reading--gotta love Colorado! ?

Starting March's #doublespin

TheBookHippie Happens here too! Snow in the forecast for the week though! 🙃 6d
TheBookgeekFrau @TheBookHippie So far, no snow in the forecast here. But then again, the forecast is a mere suggestion 😵‍💫😂 6d

TheBookgeekFrau @bookandbedandtea Yes! Makes it hard to get dressed some days though! 🤣 6d
bookandbedandtea @TheBookgeekFrau Indeed. Layers are your friend! 6d
TheBookgeekFrau @bookandbedandtea I learned that year 1!! Also, windbreaker/rain gear always in the car along with a hat, scarf, and gloves. I used to joke that every outing was like packing for an overnight stay; now it's just normal 😁 6d

I loved this book ❤️. It's a beautiful story about fathers and daughters, love and loss, choices and fate. Oh, and it has time travel 🤔😁. It's lovely, and I poured through it. This was my #Doublespin for March @TheAromaofBooks

1. Pretty much yes. Reminds me of one of my favorites lines in a Gregory Alan Isakov song….”If it weren‘t for second chances we‘d all be alone”.
2. The tagged book which I recently read.

A focused memoir written by an 18-year-old woman who grew up with an incarcerated parent. Most of the story takes place once he‘s been released. I wished for a little more fleshing out of the story around the specific topic of her dad teaching her to code and building Photo Patch, but it is a memoir, so it‘s technically not necessary. I‘ve honestly never thought about this subject before, so it was eye-opening in a lot of ways.

I am in Manhattan where the main character lives on Pomander Walk….the cutest little block in Manhattan. It‘s so nice to be back in NYC.

Ruthiella I googled that neighborhood when I read that book. It seemed too incredible and yet it really exists! 4mo
