I loved the days when we all rooted for the underdog. Korman is a fantastic writer of friendship tales and this is no different.
I generally enjoyed it - even though I know nothing about American football.
However, the allegations by Michael Oher against the Tuohy's last year has definitely tainted the story.
A pick for the writing.

I scheduled my IRL book group meeting for this evening, completely unaware that it was Superbowl Sunday. Yesterday I realized my faux pas and checked in with everyone… there was only one person in the group who had a conflict or cared 😆 So I guess you could say that the above was indeed my Super Bowl party vibe. 🎉📚🎉
From a distance, The Hook Up looks great: snarky heroine, spunky hero, lots and lots of sex… but I‘m afraid the contents don‘t quite bear up to closer scrutiny. The passionate “banter” is very forced, and the characters are beyond melodramatic. Unfortunately, the spicy bits just weren‘t enough to overcome the cringe (especially with the cheesy ending). Right now, it's Saturday morning in my corner of the world. Why do I keep thinking 🤔 it's Sunday?
Bloody confused 😕 😳🤣

Entertaining slow burn romance featuring a strong and (very) silent man and the woman who got him to talk (a bit). My only complaint is that the 🌶, when it finally happened, was disappointing. But maybe that‘s just me. Thanks to @TheSpineView for putting this one on my radar.
