I demoed this today at #gencon and was so disappointed! You play as the houses and try to fight off the revolution. Very little of the magic is used. Really seems like a sell out. Boooo

I'm getting pretty excited for Gencon next week. It's a board game convention but there are so many things for fantasy readers! Like this game with a Name of the Wind expansion. Plus I just signed up to play a Mistborn game! And I'm meeting Anne Bishop! Eek!!

Any littens going to #gencon this August? It's a huge boardgaming convention on Indianapolis. I would love to meet up if you are!
I thought I'd share this piece of #LiteraryArt with everyone doing the Name of the Wind buddy read. I met Donato, the artist, at #GenCon earlier this year.

And here's the #GenCon stack signed just buy Misty. She was super accommodating and let me wait until the end of the signing (so nobody got left out) where she speed-signed the last 18 books. All together she signed 28 books for me. I am so over the moon about meeting her! When meeting a favorite author I always fear they won't be as great as I imagined, but Misty and Larry were AMAZING! I'll be fangirling about this for years.
Here is my #GenCon stack of books signed by both Mercedes Lackey and Larry Dixon (who either co-wrote the books or did interior illustrations). Also, Larry gave me this amazing print from their upcoming book! Eeee!
Here are all the Dragonlance books I got signed at #GenCon last week! I've met Weis and Hickman several times and they're both always do kind and excited to meet fans.
At #GenCon yesterday I met Mercedes Lackey and Larry Dixon! They were so beyond nice and signed ALL of my books (even though they were pressed for time). Misty and Larry were my first introduction to fantasy novels. I had a total fangirl moment!
1. I managed to meet one of my favorite authors (Mercedes Lackey) at #GenCon!
2. Up north (West Branch, MI). It's the place I go to unplug and de-stress.
3. Apple pie! Warm with ice cream.
4. Opening weekend of the Michigan Renaissance Festival!
5. I love meeting new people!
