I love these characters and wish there were more books in the series. Only negative for this book is that it causes crisis fatigue; you can't go very many pages without an emergency.

I was hoping to sleep in—HA! Work has started so my body rises before six regardless. ?

Today is PrideFest in the city I work in. I haven‘t been to theirs before so we‘re going to check it out.

Más práctica del español. More Spanish practice because my work wants me to get conversational. I can read it and have the speech down, but I‘ve never been good at la conversación.

AnnCrystal Be careful while speaking in public. Here in Los Angeles, Spanish seems dangerous to speak in public...I know English, but feel that I have been tested. 🙏🏼🐻✌🏼💝...just a note 🫂. 6d
IriDas @AnnCrystal True. It‘s really sad. I work for the school district here and our new enrollment dropped after Jan 20. Now, less new enrollments are listing Spanish as spoken at home. :( 6d
AnnCrystal @IriDas this is unreal, I mean just crazy. Our poor children 😢🙏🏼💝. 6d

As much as I enjoyed this novella and want to read more about the world and the characters I feel like the size was just right. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out it's a trilogy so I do get to read more without being weighed down by a filler arc.

Started the tagged on my break. It‘s so tiny for a hardcover. I normally get my books from work but we don‘t have this one. Past me put it on hold at my local but I have no recollection of doing so. I had to look up the book when the hold notice came in. I can definitely see why I did though.

I told my daughter I was going to choose Crooked Kingdom for this post and she said “Pekka Rollins?!?!?” I do not know what is wrong with that child. COLM FAHEY. He was a real dad. Flawed but able to see those flaws when pointed out to him and willing to do anything to help his son.

BookmarkTavern 😂😂😂 I cackled at your child‘s answer! Colm is an excellent choice! Thanks for sharing! 3w

53/100 I did enjoy the world building and the unique alien species, but I found the ending disappointing and vague. I am assuming the author plans a sequel, because this was left too open to really qualify as a conclusion. Too many unanswered questions, too many dangling plot points. If there is a sequel, I'd probably read it just to see what happens to the friendroe. 3.5/5 #Read2025 #LitsySciFiBookClub

TheSpineView My sentiments too! 4w

Well, I‘m reading Six of Crows, so life is rough. I tried to switch to another, happier, series for coping, but I‘m not in the mood. (Why is there no “sad smile” emoji?)

Work is off for 3 weeks; however, it‘s unpaid so it‘s not that great. But the Dodgers won the first two games of their series against the Yankees and I did not expect it so that makes me happy. ⚾️ 😊

AllDebooks Oh dear! Whenever I'm in that mindset with a book, I read a short story collection alongside it. Really helps if it's heavy going. No pay is tough, but I do hpe you enjoy your time off x 1mo
