The 4th in the China Thrillers begins with a gripping premise - a virus infecting Chinese immigrants that could spark a pandemic. The strongest element is its prescient story nearly 20 years after publication. There is also a heart-stopping conclusion that leaves readers eager for the next book. But the setting in the US doesn't work as well as the other books in the series. An engaging addition, though not the strongest of the series. 3.5/5 ⭐️
This was my first experience reading this author, and I can't say enough how much I enjoyed it! I loved the characters and the story. It was cute, clean, and fun. Highly recommend the #audiobook too as the narrator did a great job.

135 pages of the narrator whining and pining her BFF is more than enough #HailTheBail
