This nominee for the 2022 Hugo Best Graphic Story award is the 4th and final volume of the Die series. The story, which plays with RPG concepts, is not easy to follow. However, this final volume explains a number of things that had me mystified in the earlier books and provides a satisfactory conclusion.

This fantasy romance was nominated for the 2022 Hugo Best Novella award. I felt there was a bit too much going on in this relatively short work and not enough context about the politics and magical elements.

This story about a wandering “tea monk“ and a robot curious about humans is nominated for a 2022 Hugo Best Novella award. It's a charming story but a little too slow and contemplative for my tastes. Still, I've liked everything else Chambers has written and will probably read more in the series.

Inventive, satirical and funny, this story follows the life of Tetley, a girl who grows up living on a patch of garbage floating in the ocean in a post-apocalyptic Earth. The audiobook narrated by Penelope Rawlins was great and captured Tetley's unique voice perfectly.

A very fun steampunk adventure featuring a forger, a paladin, an assassin and a very stuffy scholar. This book from T. Kingfisher (a.k.a. Ursula Vernon) is from The World of the White Rat series, which was nominated for a 2022 Hugo Best Series award.

This is the second book in Stross's Merchant Princes series, which was nominated for a 2022 Hugo Best Series award. It's a low pick for me. There are weaknesses but I enjoyed it more than the first book and like it enough to continue the series.
