I can't believe July is almost over! Here's a little bit more of my July haul. Lots of books, including the Illustrated ed. of LotR I got for my bday from my husband, and some of the amazing goodies from the shops I rep for!

I'm really looking forward to the next 3 months because we have 3 family trips planned. I'll also get to finally meet my nephew!! He was supposed to join us in July, but it's starting to look like he might like August better!

Reviewsbylola I thought it was good! It kept my interest and kept me guessing, which is what I look for in thrillers! 7y
BekahB I'm about 90 pages from the end and I've really been enjoying it! I agree with @Reviewsbylola, I still haven't figured out how this will end. 7y

#icecreamforbooks Day 5: "I scream, You scream, We all scream" - Horror ? My first thought for this topic was to grab a Stephen King book, but I decided to go with an author who is somewhat lesser known. Actually, King has cited Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos as inspiration in some of his works. Another great writer influenced by Lovecraft's work is Peter Clines. If you like sci-fi and horror, I recommend you check out his books "14" and "The Fold"!

Today's #icecreamforbooks prompt is "horror." The last one I read was Amy Lukavics' THE WOMEN IN THE WALLS (on a plane, with nowhere to escape the creep factor) and I became excited for THERE'S SOMEONE INSIDE YOUR HOUSE as soon as I saw the totally badass cover. I actually haven't read *any* Stephanie Perkins before, so I'm excited to sink my teeth into this one! What's your favorite horror novel? ???

Bookstagram likes its red, white, and blue books on the Fourth. It's the prompt for two challenges I'm following this month - #icecreamforbooks and #AllTheBooksJuly. (I accidentally hit the #bookbabesjuly prompt by including WIRES & NERVE for blue, which is the graphic novel companion of the Lunar Chronicles.) I'm not particularly patriotic, though, and am spending my day at home organizing. But red, white, and blue books do look nice together.
