Almost 10 years ago, at the casino I work at in New Mexico, it was a busy hot day in July. I had just gotten the money I use for my shift, walked out of our little office onto the floor. As I was rounding the security podium I noticed this portly, older gentleman with rosy cheeks, a twinkle in his eye, and a thick white beard. He was dressed in khaki shorts with a Bermuda shirt. As I walked by him, I started to slow down and as we caught each 👇🏼
Taking a quick break from packing to manically scratch out my #BookSpin TBR. Today is moving day and I am still rushing to finish but I am looking forward to a Holiday themed reading month. If anyone is doing holiday reads for July I‘ll be using #ChristmasInJuly on mine and I‘d love to see it. I don‘t know if people do this or I‘m the weird one wishing away Summer ⛄️
I didn‘t have Christmas in July, so I‘m having it in August! 🎄🎁

Our #LitMail group had a #XmasInJuly swap & I made out like a bandit this time! So much love & thanks to @Robothugs for her overwhelming generosity. 4 books, 2 bookmarks, a Caraval themed candle, a Night Circus bubble bath, a bumble bee Furrybones, a book of sticky notes & a gorgeous plush Hedwig to add to my owl collection. I feel so spoilt😘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Life wasn't perfect. It wasn't meant to be. If you didn't go through the bad times, the sad times, you wouldn't appreciate how incredible the good times were.
Sometime you just need the day off to read.

I can't believe July is almost over! Here's a little bit more of my July haul. Lots of books, including the Illustrated ed. of LotR I got for my bday from my husband, and some of the amazing goodies from the shops I rep for!
I'm really looking forward to the next 3 months because we have 3 family trips planned. I'll also get to finally meet my nephew!! He was supposed to join us in July, but it's starting to look like he might like August better!
It's in June, not July, but I am having so much fun putting together my package for #summersantagoespostal. Everything that isn't in hand has been ordered, unless I make an addition. Excited to see that my match has books on his/her TBR that are on mine, too. @BookishMarginalia I don't know how you do it, but you found me another great match!
