#LyricalApril Day 4 #CheapThrills Don't judge me....yup, I read ALL three books!!! My only defense, I was on vacation and I kept hitting the buy now button as I sat by the pool, under the striped umbrella with the delicious strawberry daiquiris by my side 🍹⛱☀️
Kalalalatja #NoShame 😎😂 8y
Sweettartlaura You know what? They were fun. I've read worse. And I've read "better" that I couldn't get through. And honestly, for a person who had never written before to pull this off... That alone impressed & got me to read them. So no judging from me ? 8y
Cinfhen Hahaha, I like the hashtag at @Kalalalatja and truthfully books 1 &2 were pretty good 😊 8y

Cinfhen Thanks @Sweettartlaura ❤️I haven't seen the films, have you?!?! 8y
Sweettartlaura I did see the first one when it came to HBO. And you know what? I missed her Inner Goddess😂. I HATED that part in the books - thought it was dumb. But without that inner monologue telling you what she's really thinking & feeling, the movie falls flat ... & it's not like I had high expectations in the first place 😜 8y
julesG #NoShame I read them all. They were the reason why I got back to writing stories. I thought if ELJ can pull it off, so can I. (Have no intention to publish my scribbling, though.) 8y
Cinfhen Good for you @julesG maybe one day you'll feel differently about publishing your work! 8y
Cinfhen Oh God, I forgot all about the Inner Goddess until now 😂😂😂 @Sweettartlaura 8y
DebinHawaii I read them too mainly because I wanted to see what the fuss was about & all my friends & co-workers had. I agree with @Sweettartlaura --they were fun and I've read worse. Plus I think any book that gets people reading & talking about it and having fun is a never a bad thing--some of my coworkers at the time almost never read & these books got them reading, then looking for more to read. 😀📚👍 8y
Cinfhen So true @DebinHawaii I had mom's walking over to me in carpool line, asking if I had a copy they could borrow 😂😂😂 8y
WanderingBookaneer This is the one thing I thought of when I saw today's title. 8y
Lmstraubie @DebinHawaii @Cinfhen Me too! I was so curious what all the hype was about. I interlibrary loan the first one & when I went to pick it up I felt the need to explain why I was reading it. 😅 The other two are the e-book version 😉 8y
Cortg A friend gave them to me to read...and I devoured them! 8y
LauraBeth I haven't read them so y'all feel free to clue me in on the plot 😂 8y
Foragingfantasy These books got me reading again. I inhaled them, a couple of times, and then started looking for more. After all the hate they received I went back to read again and yes, the writing isn't great, but they were so fun and will always have a place in my heart because they were my gateway back to reading. ❤️ #latersbaby 8y
Hollie I read all three, too, even though they were terribly written, they were quick and fun. It was the first time I'd read erotica, and while there are better erotica books out there, 50 Shades opened up that genre to so many! 8y
Cinfhen I love that @Foragingfantasy that's the power and beauty of books!!!! 8y
Cinfhen @LauraBeth plot??? Umm, I don't think so 🤔hot steamy S&M, with a hot steamy billionaire and a simple plain Jane. Yup...three books worth😊 8y
LibrarianJen I've read them all too. And like some have said it got me into a few new genres. I was in a huge YA rut at the time, but I found I actually like romance and erotica too. 8y
minkyb I read them all and not apologetic at all. I even got to ask some questions that embarrassed my kids. Totally worth it. 8y
Cinfhen 😂 always bonus points if you get to embarrass the kids!!! @minkyb (edited) 8y
Cinfhen @LibrarianJen I agree, any book that leads you to explore another book or genre is a winner 😃 8y
Reviewsbylola No shame! I couldn't get into the first book but if I'd liked it, I would have happily read the series. 8y
