#librarycardchallenge. There's 3 different councils in the county that I live in - but do they have the same card? No! This is meant to be changing though so hopefully I'll have less plastic soon!
Libby1 I can go to ANY library across Northern Ireland and use my card! Northern Ireland is a pretty small place, but still, this is awesome! 7y

Dolly Such pretty cards🙂. I have a cardboard card that is so old and well used it is floppy like a noodle! Makes it easy to find in my handbag. 7y
DGRachel My library has an iPhone app, which also has my library card on it, so all I have to do is log into the app and scan my phone to check out. I love it! 7y

peaKnit If I am having my husband pick up a book I send him a picture of my card barcode, and it is scannable. Maybe this is an option?? 7y

melbeautyandbooks Here in TX each city has its own library card. I also have 3 library cards. Two libraries are within a couple miles of my house and the third is about 6 hours away. I only use them for ebooks. @DGRachel - Your library app sounds great! 7y
Mariposa_Bookworm @melbeautyandbooks I've been thinking about doing this too. Wake County has a larger library than our county. $25 a year an you can use their library if you don't live in that county. 7y
LauraBrook This is so interesting! There are 37 libraries in my county, and when you sign up for your local library card, you can use them at any library. It's really nice and makes sense. Plus, they have an app, so if I want to run in to pick up a hold, I just need my phone vs my wallet and purse. 7y
melbeautyandbooks @Mariposa_Bookworm - That sounds like a good deal. The Houston library doesn't charge as long as you are a Texas resident. They have ebooks that my local library doesn't. 7y
