Help? Those of you who work with college students and new hires, who work in career development, and those who love learning… I have been charged with creating and delivering a 15 min program for college students on how to enhance “career-ready skills” — SOFT SKILLS! I can do this, I am confident in my ability to facilitate such, but need to pick a topic FAST. Suggestions? 🧐😬😃
Littens, I have a friend in need. She‘s an elementary school librarian and her entire library (13,000 books) was just lost to mold, and school starts next week. If you‘re able, please consider sending a book or two from her wishlists (she said it‘s set up to send non-list books, too). Thank you!
Please make sure you select to ship to Elizabeth.
@TheSpineView Thank you for the tag @sharread I haven‘t been on #Litsy much lately.
1) The tagged book was full of good advice in small doses (chapters).
(2) I usually ask for recommendations for my soon-to-be 7-year-old grandson. And just browse posts by other Littens for myself.
Tagging anyone who hasn‘t already been tagged. 🌹
I knit and pulled weeds to Tim Gunn, I believe he would say “make it work” so I will! Lol
I was looking for some fluff because I couldn‘t focus enough to follow a plot. This is fun, has very short chapters, easy to listen to, and it‘s NOT fluff. It‘s grounding & uplifting! I‘ve been a Tim Gunn fan since Project Runway started. He talks about his experiences as a teacher, but the lessons translate to real life. He‘s a master of constructive criticism, and never cruel. I‘m giving a very rare 4⭐️s, and plan to purchase a hard copy.
