I lied, I‘m not going to wait to read Ruin and Rising first before I read King of Scars. It was calling to me, so I read a few chapters before bed last night. I love Nikolai‘s chapters so far with his wit that we have seen in the Shadow and Bone Trilogy.

Leigh Bardugo said on Instagram that she tried her best to write this book for people who have not read The Shadow and Bone Series or Six of Crows. I haven‘t read Ruin or Rising and Crooked Kingdom yet and haven‘t felt like I was missing something. 6y
