#Naturalitsy #HyggeHourReadathon

Spending my #HyggeHour reading the tagged book for #ChildrensclassicRead2025 & since that won‘t take long, I‘m going to read The Answer Is No from @JacqMac ‘s #AuldLangSpine list on my Kindle. Noshing on dried cinnamon Fuji apples & drinking apple chai tea.

I‘m so not ready for another crazy work week & the general crazy that will happen starting Monday. 😵‍💫

Lilly still sucks. Tina should be her real best friend.

Mia's bodyguard, Lars is the only option I would accept if I were required a bodyguard.

All of the adults in Mia's life are fun, but in different ways. It seems like she has mostly good role models.
Her dad, Philippe again steals the show. He is so cool.

She was born Anidori-Kiladra Talianna Isilee, Crown Princess of Kildenree, and she did not open her eyes for three days.

Why is Lilly such an awful friend? I know everyone is selfish at that age, but this is just unacceptable. Mia is doing her best. The negativity is unhelpful.

"Okay. So I was just in the kitchen, eating cereal, you know, the usual Monday morning routine, when my mom comes out of the bathroom with this funny look on her face."

Mia Thermopolis, I just gotta say it... You have my stupid heart.

This was my favorite fairy tale as a kid because of Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theatre. I watched her production of The Twelve Dancing Princesses countless times. I was so excited to find it on youtube:

I included a couple retellings in my photo. I'm reading Salt and Sorrows as a companion read. Kingfisher was from a few years ago.

Having read a biography of Cleopatra VII and watched documentaries and movies, this fictional diary was definitely a let-down. Can‘t tell if it‘s disappointing because I‘m an adult or because I know so much about her life. It was mostly being stuck in Rome waiting for a Roman army to come back with her and her father to Alexandria to quell the peasant and sibling rebellions. The ending part with all the facts was more interesting.

According to Mia, I have only 2 more years to reach self actualization.
No pressure. 🙃

I‘m getting an early start on my Litsy required reading for the month. I‘ve never read this one before. It‘s interesting and did not end the way I expected it to. Thanks for organizing @TheBookHippie ! 4⭐️
