A very informative and interesting look at the history of public education and schools in this country. As an educator it was amazing to read that even though we think we have made many gains forward we aren‘t all that far from where we started!

This is the book our committee chose (after much deliberation) to begin our work with teachers in the district (K-12). The hope is that it will be less threatening for some than other books we have read.
