pickI discovered several new favorite authors in 2025, but no one surpassed Pierce Brown. Science Fiction is my least favorite genre, and yet I listened to Red Rising 3 times last year. Keep 'em coming, Mr. Brown.
pickDarrow lived through the darkest of the nights only to rise like the morning star to fight against his enemies - and former friends. There are some plot twist I had to listen to twice because I couldn‘t grasp it the first time. The ending was a major cliffhanger and I am definitely listening to the next one.
"I would have lived in peace. But my enemies brought me war," is now one of my favorite book opening lines.

pickHoly Hell(diver)! That was an intense finale to the Red Rising Trilogy. Even the plot twists had plot twists. Crisp, intentional writing with not a single wasted word. Darrow enters the third installment more broken than he ever had been in the previous two books. An amazing finale that sated my hunger for revenge and justice.
Pierce Brown's upcoming book, "RED RISING BOOK 7," titled "RED GOD," will reportedly be released next year, sometime in Summer 2026!
The author revealed the status of his most anticipated novel, which is the final book in the series, in an interview earlier this year. He stated that, unless new issues arise, the book is expected to be released sometime in the Summer next year.

pick4✨ It would have been a 5 if it wasn‘t for that cliff hanger. Grrr. I really like that this approached multiple POVs from different places and perspectives. Darrow has been the Golden hero all this time, and looking at the other side was interesting. I still like Darrow, but people make mistakes and choices that they have to live with. I‘m going to take a break from this series though because it is so heavy on my heart.
Audiosewing F‘s patches…. I‘m honestly not sure how she is going to fit them all since I‘m running out of space. I‘m struggling with this one this time. Not because it‘s not good, but because of the unease I‘m feeling with current events. After I finish this graphic audio I‘m going to try to stick to lighter titles.
