Freakonomics Rev Ed: (and Other Riddles of Modern Life) | Steven D. Levitt, Stephen J. Dubner

While interesting, I‘m not really sure what to take away from this book. Things are often more interconnected than one might think? The key to research is a good dataset? I‘m glad I finally gave this a listen, but I have a feeling I‘ll be forgetting most of it very soon 🤔 #rolldecember pick @PuddleJumper

3 #RollDecember books read. 1 to go.
Thank you, @PuddleJumper for adding this to #Roll100 to help clear out holiday reads and/or end of year lists.

PuddleJumper That's awesome, love the graphic! 2y

I loved this one! Such a sweet story that I could definitely see becoming a movie. Emmie plans a Christmas scavenger hunt for her boyfriend Grant to lead him to their vacation at Christmas Point. A mix-up causes writer Sam to follow the clues to her instead. When Grant's arrival is continually delayed, she and Sam do some of the activities she planned together and find that they both have the same enthusiasm for Christmas ✨🎄💖

Really enjoyed the second Mistletoe romance, even more so than Nick's story. This one follows Merry and her tentative romance with the new foreman of her family's Christmas tree farm - single dad Clark. The romance felt genuine and I loved the crafty sides they each had

Another Christmas read finished. Kate Hewitt is a favorite author in this genre for me. She keeps a good pace and writes enjoyable characters.

This was all soft pining and feelings and overall pretty adorable. Michael and Will were best friends until Michael ghosted 2 years ago because he couldn't handle being in love with straight Will. Now they're pretending to date to impress Will's boss after he rescues Michael from a crisis. Cue the bi panic lol

Week 1 for #winterreadathon

I‘ve read 3 books and bailed on 3 books. (One not shown)

If you can tell, for some reason, I‘m not in the mood for cheesy holiday romances this year. Not sure why. Just want books with more substance.

I also bailed on Mistletoe & Mr. Right, which is one of my #RollDecember books.

DieAReader 🥳🥳🥳Great job with everything! Reading something you‘re not “into” at the moment just makes reading a slog & no fun so, good choice on the bails. More enjoyable reads await you on #MountTBR I bet🤓📚♥️ 2y
Andrew65 That;s great, well done 🎄🎄🎄 Christmas books are often a hot or a miss with little ground in between, best to only progress with books you are enjoying. 2y
julesG Not all cheesy Christmas romances are good cheesy Christmas romances. I'm struggling with Nick&Noel and I'm struggling with Meet Cute too. 2y
Laughterhp @julesG That‘s very true! I really enjoyed Royal Holiday! Which was also a holiday romance but with MCs in their 50s! 2y
julesG I really need to read one of her books. Moving them up towards the tip of #MountTBR 2y

This book was so, so, so good! I'm not a huge audiobook lover, but listening was a great way to take in Kiese's story. Hearing it told in his own voice (literally and figuratively) was fantastic. He tackles some pretty tough issues in his life ("heavy" topics, you could say), but the telling was almost poetic. Glad I finally read this!

Even better, it knocks off a book on my #rolldecember list (so glad I found you, @PuddleJumper !).

PuddleJumper Brilliant! 2y
