pickI'm going waaaay back to catch up on books I've been reading these last several months so I honestly don't remember many details about this book. But I do remember it was a 5 star read. Even though it's considered a romance book the romance scenes were few and far between and the 🌶 levels were low. Without spoiling the end I loved that the main character makes herself a priority over the sometimey men in her life. Self love for the win 🥰

pickLow pick for me- the female MC was unnecessarily mean but I really liked that her best friend called her out and she got somewhat nicer.
A finance bro recovering from burn out starts a fancy dog store across the street from the small town pet supply store and ignites a stream of hatred from the college drop out who runs it with her grandfather. They decide to work together to train their dogs for the town dog show.
2.5/5 needs more dogs

I really would like to give it more accolades, but there is one flaw I cannot let go. The main MFC says that she has studied law and is going to pursue a professorship in Boston after more education. Yet, she doesn't use her supposed understanding of the law to help her brother. She was a fine detective, but the legality issue is not there.
I enjoyed the sweet romance.

I made a detailed plan for my vacation. But I'm glad I was willing to let go of my plan and accept what came my way. I saved a hundred bucks or so because the hostel I booked asked if I could stay in a bunk instead of a semi-private room. My hostel ended up being right across the street from my parents' hotel, so I was able to get free parking. And I stumbled upon some great restaurants by just wandering. 🩵🩵🩵
