This is an adult read!🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
I loved the MexAme history. You might have heard of the “bracero” program, but have you heard of the traqueros? Mexican workers that built the railroads in the US. Eventually, MexAm family settlements formed throughout the Midwest because of the railroad.
This goes into how these families held on to their culture & heritage. This is little known MexAm!history that BUILT THIS PROSPEROUS COUNTRY!

This was an impulse buy as it was on sale and I like Teddy Hamilton as a narrator. And it was super cute. A bit over-the-top at times, but it made me laugh and gave me all.the.feels.

Book 5 for #superseptember

julesG I got it because of Teddy Hamilton's narration too. 😉 2w

I‘ve roughly hit the midway mark. The story is so good. I can feel the tension, the awkwardness, the pain. I also now have a good idea why the author chose snowflakes for the chapter headings.

What are Friends For? | Sarah Sutton

Due to my youngest being sick I‘ve more time to read. My goal was to read 6 chapters by Thursday, and I‘m already up to Ch 8.

So far it‘s good. Really good. Within the first three chapters we get to meet the hot guy, and the male BFF. The accidental kiss and tsunami of emotions that follows are brilliant. As someone that crushed on her male BFF, I know the pain of unrequited love, fear of ruining a friendship, the confusion and wanting.

This book has been waiting in my eLibrary for a while. My plan this September is so read it. #friendstolovers

September is the month my best friend proposed to me, so it‘s a special month. I‘ve read other books by Sarah and enjoy her writing style. I‘m confident I will love this book. Let‘s see…

Let me know if you want to read this with me. #readalong #buddyread

Oh these books. Cheesy, slightly misogynistic, but enjoyable. This book is as old as I am, so have to give it a bit of leeway there.

Full disclosure: I am predisposed to like books by this author, aka, very biased.
That said, I was really fascinated by this story. Both main characters have big stuff they are holding onto that have shaped how they approach the world, and watching them bang into each other (on several levels) and fight over how to best serve the people and the tiny town and also satisfy a cranky ghost, was enjoyable.

This is a borderline pick. This is a very sweet historical romance. It is the beginning of a series about a group of friends who all lost their brothers and they end up going from being the spare to being the heir. This is not terribly original and has zero steam, but was a pleasant read. 3⭐️
