I came across this odd and quirky tale…
#FeelinTheLove Day 19: There is #IllicitLoveAffair between Belle Greene and a famous married art historian. That was pretty toxic. Come to think of it, she had several #IllicitLoveAffair(s) with married men. My full review here: https://wp.me/pDlzr-r26
I worked for the government for 35+ years at three different organizations. I‘ll come back to that later. As a #longtimefed I have a lot of thoughts about…all this. For a host of reasons I‘m reluctant to share much on “public” media for now, but I consider Litsy MY “safe space.”
I don‘t want to hurt anyone‘s feelings or make anyone uncomfortable, and I don‘t expect to change anyone‘s mind. If you want to ignore these posts, you can mute the tag.
I didn't dislike this book. The premise is fascinating, actually, and I expected to be enthralled, but I was not. I kept putting it down and having no interest in picking it back up. Today I've decided not to try anymore and donate my copy. Was it better in French? Because this English version felt like it needed a better editor.
Fascinating, infuriating, and horrifying. This #audiobook kept me listening and I may have yelled a bit too. Deeply researched and thoughtful, I highly recommend for anyone interested in cults or how the US political landscape got to where it is right now. #BookspinBingo
I think the length of this one had intimidated me a bit, so I‘m so glad #Roll100 (January) got me to pick it up, because I loved it! From the first page, it yanked me into the story and I wanted to learn as much as possible about the extraordinary Belle.
