She is tasked with getting Robert ready for the descent to the Gates. He complains Maester Coleman put something vile in his milk. She &the Maester argue about how to get him down safely, sweet milk is trepidatiously agreed upon. She meets Lady Myranda, Lord Nestor‘s daughter& they make their way down. At the castle she meets with Littlefinger who has set up a marriage with Harry the Heir &has a plan to take back her birthright

Roary47 I‘m concerned there is more to his plan, but I like that he‘s trying to bring her back as Sansa. 6mo
majkia @Roary47 Yeah, he's always up to something. 6mo

Sargar114 I don‘t like Littlefinger, but I do respect his ability to play the game 6mo
BethM @Sargar114 agreed! I also think she still doesn‘t have a string enough sense of self. She almost faded into this persona. 6mo
Sargar114 @BethM totally! It‘s so frustrating! You‘d think by now she‘d grow a backbone after everything she‘s been through 6mo
Bklover I can‘t figure out how she‘s so nice to that little monster Robert! 6mo

Fully in role as Alayne, she surveys the armies outside The Gates. Lord Robert complains at breakfast but they can‘t get fresh food with the encampment. Littlefinger lets the bannermen parley. One has met Sansa before, but Littlefinger doesn‘t worry
They tell Littlefinger to vacate the Vale, go to Harrenhal. They want to take Robert. Swords are drawn but Bronze Yohn reminds them of hospitality laws. Littlefinger asks for a year to prove himself

Roary47 I‘m wondering how Robert fits into their plan. They killed his mom. Why does he still have value. He just complains about everything. 6mo
5feet.of.fury @Roary47 he‘s still the heir (unfortunately) so without Robert, Littlefinger wouldn‘t have as much claim to the Eyrie. 6mo
BethM Little finger is such a schemer 6mo
Roary47 @5feet.of.fury That makes sense. Ick. 6mo

Marillion sings in his cell. Lord Nestor Royce comes to hear what happened to Lysa.
Robert tells the men that Marillion threw Lysa through the Moon Door. Sansa tells the same. Marillion confesses.
She overhears Nestor tell Littlefinger this won‘t be the end of it. Littlefinger names Nestor Keeper of the Gates. He is impressed when Sansa understands why it was done the way it was
He tells her she must be Alayne all the time, even in her own heart

Roary47 Oh man. I have a bad feeling about this POV. Never really liked Littlefinger, but now he is up there with Cersei in my book. 7mo
5feet.of.fury @Roary47 he‘s diabolical. 7mo
Sargar114 He‘s terrible and so slimy! 7mo
BethM @Roary47 same. I hope he comes to a violent end. 7mo

She builds Winterfell in the snow. Littlefinger helps her &tries for a kiss. Sansa rebukes him &they are interupted by Little Lord Robert. Who starts to knock down the castle. Sansa rips the head off his toy
She worries about Lysa‘s reaction to how she treated Robert, but Lysa saw the kiss
Lysa threatens her with the moon door, Littlefinger stops it. In her madnesses, Lysa starts confessing
But Littlefinger has only loved 1 woman, he consoles her-

5feet.of.fury What a crazy chapter. A history lesson, the Tansy mystery & Jon Arryn‘s murder get solved. Loopy Lysa goes out the moon door. The rapist gets framed. Littlefinger is a creep and a conniver but gotta give it to him for this one. 7mo
Roary47 A agree a crazy chapter. I wonder who will tolerate the little Robert after this. 7mo

5feet.of.fury @Roary47 throw that little terror out the moon door too 😂 7mo
Roary47 @5feet.of.fury Yes! Let him fly. 🤣 7mo
majkia ya'll are a bunch of meanies! Poor lil Robert.... Heh.
Lots of revelations... LIttlefinger is such a creep.
7mo
5feet.of.fury @majkia agree Littlefinger is such a creep! Poor Sansa and all these old pervs 7mo
Sargar114 I totally forgot that Lysa was the one to kill her husband!!! To think this whole series is snowballed because of that because Robert needed a new hand and Ned went to Kings Landing! 🤯. Littlefinger is such a creep, but not upset he pushed her out the moon door. And quick thinking to frame the singer. 7mo
Sargar114 @5feet.of.fury I agree poor Sansa, but you‘d think at this point she‘d have figured out how to protect herself by now 7mo
5feet.of.fury @Sargar114 so true!!! All the Starks would still be in Winterfell, everything would be someone else‘s problem. 7mo
BethM I didn‘t remember Lysa killing John. So crazy. And I agree, toss Robert out the door. 7mo
Sargar114 I think Robert just ends up dying on his own without his mother to coddle him…it‘s probably a service to toss him out the moon door 7mo

By “sailing home” Littlefinger meant his home. Lysa is coming to wed him, at least Sansa will be near her own blood. Littlefinger creates a backstory,Varys cannot know where Sansa is, he renames her Alayne. Then tells her more about “the game” &the truth about the poisoner
Lysa arrives, doesn‘t seem to know Sansa, &has an in eventful wedding within the hour
Lysa will hide Sansa at the Eyrie. Then she reveals she wants Sansa to marry her son Robert

BethM Peytr and Lysa both just suck as humans. 8mo
5feet.of.fury @BethM so icky 8mo
Roary47 Yuk! The worst part was read to he likes animal stories, but then when he is of age marry him and he will give you strong babies. Gross. 8mo

Sansa goes to the godswood &changes into her traveling clothes. She notices the hairnet is missing a gem. She confronts Dontos about it &learns Tyrion has been arrested. Her escape is aided by a surprising ally who then kills Dontos.

Roary47 Dontos was a creep! I‘m not so sure of this sudden ally. Was that regret that she left Tyrion behind? Could it be that she was finding she was starting to care for him? (edited) 8mo
5feet.of.fury @Roary47 everyone has a plan for Sansa now that she‘s the Winterfell heir. She‘s def conflicted about Tyrion… But getting away from Cersei is the only move. I‘d run run away 8mo
BethM Only move, but I wouldn‘t trust Peytr. 8mo
BooksNBowls @BethM oh yeah Peytr is a snake in the grass!! They‘re all creeps. 8mo

Sansa breakfasts with the Lannisters on the morning of Joff & Margaery‘s wedding, it is custom to give the bride &groom gifts. Tyrion gifts him a book “The Lives of Four Kings”, Joff says he has no time for books &later cuts it in half, everyone trying to tell him how important the book is. After, Sansa &Tyrion come upon Oberyn &Ellaria where they discuss the kings in the book. Tyrion suggests another gift for Joff saying “he has earned a dagger”

5feet.of.fury This chapter showed a change in Sansa IMO, she‘s still a believer in the old stories & in way over her head but her internal dialogue is more witty than the silly scared girl we‘re used to, Tyrion rubbing off on her a bit? 8mo
Sargar114 She‘s definitely growing. She has had quite the experience so maybe she‘s finally learning a thing or too. 8mo
Sargar114 Also Joff 🤮 8mo
Roary47 I‘m hoping they will be a force that embarrasses and takes done Joff. 8mo

Sansa is excited for her new gown &the impression she will make on Willas. Sansa‘s giddiness abates as it is revealed she will be wed to Tyrion. horrified but she recalls Tyrion saved her from Ser Boros. After the vows there‘s a feast, the Tyrells turn their backs on her.Joff says he will still call Sansa to his bed. Tyrion threatens him. The newlyweds are forced into their bedding, but appalled by her age, her courtesy &her disgust Tyrion refuses

majkia Sansa makes me crazy. Sigh. 9mo
5feet.of.fury @majkia honestly. Every time Cersei dresses her up she enters a new layer of hell but each time she‘s in lala land about it. 9mo

Bklover She is so shallow! Oh, a new dress! Tyrion is worth ten of her, and she won‘t see it. 9mo
Sargar114 @Bklover so true!!! 9mo
BethM @Bklover spot on! This is one place where I think the show did it better. He basically protects her, takes her to the chamber, and then is like nah this isn‘t happening, no nakedness 9mo

Sansa is getting a new gown, a gift from Cersei. She wonders why. She‘s enjoyed the company of Margaery & her cousins lately, although she pities (&envies) the younger girls for their innocence. Margaery, however, is the sister she never had.
Sansa tells Dontos she doesn‘t need his escape plan. Dontos explains the politics, Sansa is an heir to Winterfell, Highgarden is claiming her. She acknowledges this as a possibility, but doesn‘t care.

5feet.of.fury This was a rough one for me 😂 Sansa is back on her BS 10mo
majkia She's seen so much horror and still lives in lala land. 10mo

BooksNBowls Oh yeah, this was just not good lol. Then when she was talking about Arya, saying she was a bad sister. 😤😤 10mo
5feet.of.fury @BooksNBowls exactlyyyy I can almost deal with what an air head she is, but the random Arya hate infuriates me every time. Same thing when Cat is saying something and randomly hates on Jon. I get so annoyed 😅 10mo
5feet.of.fury @majkia yupppp on the 1 hand she‘s trying to make the best of the situation, but she‘s throwing away her escape… 10mo
BethM Right? You don‘t get to call those girls children and then act like one yourself 10mo
Bklover Sansa is a brat! Oh, and an idiot. 10mo
Roary47 I agreed to being tired of the Arya hate. I‘m sure Arya would defend Sansa if needed, but would Sansa? 9mo

Margaery wants to meet Sansa. Ser Loras escorts her to dinner, she reminisces about seeing him in the tourney, but Loras doesn‘t recall giving her the rose. He withdraws from her when she bring up Renley‘s death. However, his grandmother Lady Olenna minces no words about Renley. Olenna asks her the truth about Joffrey, after much coaxing Sansa tells them how he torments her. Margaery invites Sansa to Highgarden, to marry… Ser Willas.

5feet.of.fury Sansa at the beginning of the chapter really seemed to be looking for everyone‘s angle and really playing the game, but then she got caught up in her fairytale moment. 10mo
Sargar114 Lady Olyenna is hilarious! Such a great character. Sansa being Sansa again 🤷🏼‍♀️ 10mo

Bklover Sansa makes my jaws hurt from gritting my teeth. Lady Olenna though is a hoot! I know Sansa has every right right to be terrified but that girl does get on my nerves! 10mo
BethM @Sargar114 Sansa being Sansa😂 10mo
Roary47 Well, he is crippled. However, isn‘t that better than being a mistress to Joffrey? Still having fairy tales is one thing, but she needs to get out of there for her own virtue and safety. I wish the best of Margery. 10mo
5feet.of.fury @Roary47 yeah, anything would be better than Joff & his family. May not be what she expected of her life, but it‘s gotta be better than this. I‘m just wondering about the timing, will she stay & choose Margaery‘s plan to get her to Highgarden & give up her escape with Dontos… 10mo
BooksNBowls @5feet.of.fury just when I thought she was changing & becoming more wise 😅😅 10mo
5feet.of.fury @BooksNBowls atleast Margaery & Olenna are better role models than Cersei 😖 10mo
BooksNBowls @5feet.of.fury Lady Olenna is one of my favorites ☺️ 10mo
