Late #stack of last week‘s #bookmail 🙌🏽

After finishing the Readathon, I‘m thinking a book for #NFNov is the way to go next. This is just a small #stack of some of my #NFTBR I‘ve also got a few waiting at the library for pickup. I‘m thinking of going with A Night To Remember but the Ann Rule is calling me too. This is my problem as a reader, too many choices can put me in a rut. Do any of you have the same issue? Which one are you looking forward to reading or have read and loved?

Librariana That is an excellent selection you've got there! I own and am interested in reading 1w
Librariana But gosh, I'd be very intrigued to read Ann Rule's account of her friendship/acquaintance to Ted Bundy OR the one about Jonestown! 1w
ImperfectCJ It's been a long time, but I remember loving A Night to Remember (and feeling irritated that James Cameron didn't credit it because how could he have written the screenplay for Titanic without using that book? Or so I reasoned.). 1w

FantasyChick I really enjoyed Jonestown, though it could be a bit dry and boring at times but The Stranger Beside Me was fantastically done! You really can't beat Ann Rule when it comes to true crime 1w
ljuliel I agree completely about it being harder to read when you have too many choices . I spend more time trying yo figure out what to read than I do reading. I‘ve read the Bundy book and the Titanic ones. They were all good. I read a Jo Estonia book back after it happened but I don‘t remember the name of it. I know it wasn‘t this one since urs much newer. 1w
vivastory I second @Librariana comments. Guin's book on Bonnie and Clyde is one of my favorite nf of the year. 1w
Lizpixie @Librariana thanks for your input! I keep putting off the Ann Rule coz I bought it online & it‘s one of those pocket editions with cheap paper & horrible printing🙄 @ImperfectCJ I just finished A Night To Remember & loved it, though I felt like screaming at it in certain parts, especially when steerage passengers were stopped from getting to boats @FantasyChick that‘s what I‘ve been worried about with Jonestown, the dry bits🥱 1w
Lizpixie @ljuliel at least it‘s not just me! I think the Jonestown book came out last year, so probably not the one you read. I remember when it happened too, though I was only 7 at the time our family used to watch the 6pm news every night while eating dinner coz of my dad. It made an impression. @vivastory I‘ll have to look that one up! Thank you all for your input♥️ 1w

I first read this in April & immediately knew that it would end up being one of my favorites of the year. I have decided to reread Smiley's elegant history/thoroughly engaging analysis of the novel. The art form I #cherish above all others.
#Movember @Cinfhen

Cinfhen So, I must #Stack because your review was so persuasive 3w
vivastory @Cinfhen I hope you love it! 3w

The Secret Life of Bees | Sue Monk Kidd

Justifying today's #bookhaul by pointing out that these are all generally short books and are therefore equivalent to having only purchased one, maybe two, long books. Fair, right? 📚📚😆😆 I think I will start with The Secret Life of Bees!

JamieArc The Devil‘s Highway is excellent. I love Urrea‘s writing, fiction and non-fiction both. 3w
BarbaraBB I just finished that one, it‘s lovely! Also - I loved The Reluctant Fundamentalist! 3w
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Sing is phenomenal ❤️❤️❤️ 3w
steph_phanie @JamieArc this will be my first Urrea! I had a hard time choosing to start with this or Into the Beautiful North! 3w
