Welcome to Litsy!

This was Lems first novel and my second Lem. It was easier to read than “Solaris“, but it has the same depth as his most famous book. Just as in “Solaris“ I admit that I surely didn't get the whole picture and that there's way more to discover than what I've found now. Lem is a difficult author, at least he is to me, and that's what makes him so interesting.

I‘m working my way through the set of 50 Penguin Moderns in order. This is number 9 and I was pleasantly surprised. I *really* don‘t do science-fiction but I enjoyed these 4 short stories, particularly the first, title, story.

I‘d give it 3.5 stars, not bad for sci-if!
