pickThe first novella in the Four Past Midnight collection is absolutely crazy. How does King come up with this stuff? There is a time rip and people missing from the plane and suspicion of bad, hungry, monsters called “langoliers.” It‘s a long buildup until the langoliers finally land on the page and WHOA once they do. The idea of this happening is horrifying, but I could not look away. This reads sort of like sci-fi horror lite. #readingStephenKing
pickStephen King wrote this short story in memory of the King family dog, Vixen, who passed away in 2018. It‘s the story of an old man named Lloyd who lost his wife 6 months ago. His big sister brings him a puppy to keep him company and he names her Laurie. Short and sweet and still has that nice Stephen King touch in the last 10 pages. 4⭐️ Also using for the book scavenger hunt (grey)

pickStephen might have saved the best for last in this collection. We get another appearance from Pop Merrill!!!!! I love my castle rock characters. That alone should give you the urge to pick up this collection. Love the references and it was nice to see what Pop was up to. Same old tricks. The Sun dog involves Kevin who, every time he takes a picture, there is a dog who is not present when the photo is taken...and it keeps getting closer..and closer

It sort of drags in the middle but it sets up the characters very well. Would have really enjoyed this as a full fledged novel. This is very weird Stephen King, but for me, the weirder the better. The movie adaption is very cheesy, as are the majority of his movies

Finally! Secured this rare 1989 SK treasure in very good condition for a very reasonable price via Ebay.
Only 2 more (probably expensive) rare titles to collect and my SK Collection is complete.
