It's possible that I bought this because I liked the cover. I used to buy a random book in an airport on my way home from traveling, usually nonfiction. I liked this. It's about literary criticism. The best part might be the verbal sparring between these women and their other contemporaries. They didn't hold a lot back.

Regarding Susan Sontag:Portrait of a Feminist Icon, a documentary on Kanopy.
I did not know that Susan Sontag had cancer 3 times. She eventually died because a transplant was a failure, and there was nothing she could do. But I did not know she had cancer, and beat the odds twice before.

I really wanted to like this, but it just wasn‘t as engaging as I was hoping. Never mind. Group biographies are a tricky beast. So hard to get right, but so hard to pin down what the problem is when they don‘t quite work.

Next nonfiction read (thank you library!)
