Ended up DNFing this one. I wasn't into it at all.

I'm not commenting on the content of the book because I only got about 5 chapters in. It seemed fine, I just didn't think this was what I wanted right now.

I apparently bought this in 2014 and have clearly never had the urge to read it. Having a look at it, it seems to be a sequel series. I haven't read anything by this author so that's a bit worrying

I read all YA/fantasy books in this shelf with the exception of Priestess of the White.

I spent nearly 600 pages with these characters and still don‘t really know them and definitely don‘t care about them. I love sprawling epics, so the length and large cast of characters isn‘t my problem. It‘s that the author does NOTHING with them or the plot. For the entire story I was left wondering “Why?” and “Who cares?” Probably not continuing the series to answer those questions either.

1) okay, so I haven't read this in ages, but the mc has an ape-like cat or something as a pet. It just sounded so cool. I want to be that animal!
2) Yes, we get snow here. They say this year might be lots and lots of snow.
