When Nancy is asked to help locate a long lost woman she had no idea how big, or dangerous, the mystery she was walking into would be.

Working two separate mysteries at once had Nancy running all over town. Can she get them both solved when things turn dangerous?

A fun murder mystery featuring a hidden society of private investigators, amazing gadgets and a fun cast of characters. I ordered this because it sounded fun - a little heavier than a cozy mystery, but not as gritty as a procedural. Plus a little bit of “steampunk lite” thrown in. Overall a fantastic read.

Book 1 of the Five Queendoms series
An amazing story of a world run by women. Political intrigue times 5, queens trying to keep power and lead their people, while still working together as well.

lynneamch So good. Lucky to read an advance copy. Official pub date 2/22/22 and for those who watch Freinds & Fiction, she'll be on the aftershow on 2/23/22. 3y

The amazing biography of Virginia Hall, one of the first women spies in WW2. Being both a woman and an amputee Virginia was not someone you would have expected to be a spy at all, let alone one of the most successful of the war. Working for both the British SOE and later the American OSS she ran some of the most important paramilitary missions and was key in the Allies‘ victory in France. An amazing read that everyone should check out.

While the book seems to have been well written, I found the contemporary characters difficult to relate to. I enjoyed the historical parts with Nancy Mitford, but as I‘m not familiar with her book or the story of her infamous family, I felt I missed some of the nuances. Overall it was an ok story.

Mysterious tapping and a cat thief plague a sweet old woman. Nancy‘s on the case!

On a side note, I‘m not a huge fan of these style of covers - they just doesn‘t seem as attractive as the covers of the first several books.

A wonderful historical fiction/contemporary mashup. When an old collage friend calls looking for a quote for an article about Caroline‘s great aunt a long-held family lie crumbles. Determined to find the truth to protect her family, Caroline travels to The London House, her family‘s ancestral home, to find answers. Along the way she finds the truth about more than her aunt‘s mysterious past.

# 7 - the introduction of Ned. One of the better mysteries, and not one involving supposed ghosts or curses. It has more of a feel of the Secret of the Old Clock rather than the scooby do-ish feel of the last few.
