Finishing my reread so I can watch the Netflix movie. Wild to think I first read this when it came out at Tally‘s age.

Uglies finally got a movie! 🎉 I have been saying it needed a movie for almost 20 years! I remember reading Uglies when it first came out (wow I‘m old) and it‘s the series that showed me what a book could be. I‘ll be watching Netflix for the next hour and a half. Anyone else as pumped about this as I am?

Reread this for the first time in ages the other day. I still enjoyed reading it. I got through it pretty fast too

The last of three books a student gave me to read at the beginning of the year! I liked it though. It was very fast-paced and a quick read. I kiiiiiiinda want to read the rest of the trilogy, but I probably won‘t.

The moment these scholars told me they love to smell the pages of books, they instantly became book club members! I thought I was the only one in the world who did this.

A student gave me this book to read, so bless her heart I read it. I have read Uglies, but not the other two in that trilogy, so I knew who Tally was. I did not care for this one. The story was meh, the characters were annoying, the word “vast” was used maybe 47,392 times (I do love the word, but dang it was a lot!). At least it was a quick read!

It was a surprise that the main character was new, not Tally. But for me it was like a fresh start and I really liked Aya. I also loved that you saw what is happening three years after the events in book 3.

Pacing was good and there was a lot of action. I was quite intrigued to know what was going on and what was going to happen next.
