This woman! I despise her more than Voldemort. She was so evil. #unlikablecharacters #aprilbookshowers

Gezemice Me too! She is every day evil. Way worse than Voldemort. She enjoys torturing people. 7y

As much as I hated Amy, I also disliked Nick too (but I loved the story.) So I pick this couple for #unlikablecharacters #aprilbookshowers

#aprilbookshowers Day25: #unlikablecharacters
Frank W. Dixon from Pocket Kings. A main character that I wanted to shake violently pretty much the entire time I was reading this book. He was an extremely unlikable douchebag. 😩

One of my most recent reads in which all of the main characters were #unlikablecharacters. I couldn't decide which character I actually cared about and by the end I was ok with whatever ending was coming. I still really liked the book with all its twists and not being too attached to any of them probably helped. #AprilBookShowers

This is a strange book, with several #unlikablecharacters. #aprilbookshowers

With her unusually short wand, pink cardigan, and annoying 'eh hem', Dolores Umbridge is one of those #unlikablecharacters - in this case one I love to hate

Any time this topic comes up, these are always my choices. Probably my 2 least favorite books I ever finished. #aprilbookshowers #unlikablecharacters @RealLifeReading

Reviewsbylola I LOVED Gone Girl, although I agree the characters were unlikeable. I wasn't very impressed with Train though. I'm excited to give her new book a try despite that. 7y
Laalaleighh I refuse to read either of them. It's the 50SOG level hype that made me wary. But I know enough about them from all my non reading friends that only read the it book of the year to know they aren't for me. 7y

I know they are based off real people, but I thought the main characters in this telling of Frank Lloyd Wright and Mamah Borthwick Cheney's love affair to be very unlikable characters. #unlikablecharacters #aprilbookshowers

This was brilliantly written. It was told in a few different first person perspectives and I didn't like the characters. I thought they were all awful (but believable) human beings. But even though I didn't like them as people, I was still riveted, still with them through the story. I didn't like the characters but was still on the edge of my seat till the end? That's just good writing. #AprilBookShowers #UnlikableCharacters @RealLifeReading

mandapants I felt the exact same way. Gobbled up the book but couldn't say anything I liked about it. 7y
GypsyKat @mandapants There were lots of things I liked about it. I loved the writing, the story was compelling, it had a great flow... I just didn't like the characters as people, which was fine with me since it was so well done that I couldn't put it down. 7y
Crystalblu @mandapants I'm with you on this one ;) 7y

For my #unlikablecharacters I choose the entire cast of Gone Girl. Each was a despicable human being and I did not care about what happened to them. (My husband feels the movie is better in this case but I haven't seen it) #aprilbookshowers

StephBengtson Haha yep. 7y
