Got this book from my church and it‘s extremely insightful. Even tho I‘ve gone to church all my life, I do not know how to “study” the Bible and this book has descriptive study outlines and how to view the Bible: The Bible is about God, not about you.
I will need to change the way I read the Bible, I just read the whole thing like it‘s a novel, not a true story with lots of deeper meanings.

Ladygodiva7 Worth reading again for the study notes, guidance and viewpoints. 2w

Assuming no 5 stars next week- but I‘ll let you know if there are.
I‘ve already ordered one off someone else‘s list that I hadn‘t seen before!

squirrelbrain I still haven‘t got to In Memoriam yet, or Belle Greene, as I‘m sure they‘d have been on my list too! 4mo
TrishB @julesG I definitely did that on purpose 😁😁 4mo

As everyone knows I‘m not big on showing my book scores but today I found some treasures worth a mention. This one is signed.

I was impressed with Wilkin‘s willingness to discuss topics generally ignored by the Christian community, such as viewing the Bible as a work of literature (🤩)! however, I am extremely hesitant about her formulaic approach of reading the Bible. it‘s important to remember we are perusing relationship, not mastery of a textbook. that being said, she makes a lot of good points and I think it‘s an overall good read.

Who has read this??? I came across this on goodreads. Is it any good???

@ElizaMarie @AsYouWish @jb72

Chrissyreadit It‘s Eve Ensler, so I‘d say worth the risk! 4y
AkashaVampie @Chrissyreadit never read anything by her. 4y
ElizaMarie I‘m curious to see what you think. I don‘t know if I‘ve read Ensler before so I‘m a bit curious (edited) 4y
AkashaVampie @ElizaMarie I tried to look up emotional stuff on goodreads and that was the first thing that came up. The cover kinda jumped out at me. 4y

"13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother‘s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." Psalm 139
