I've been on a thriller/suspense kick this week and I remembered a friend recommended this author so I gave it a shot. OH.EM.GEE. YALL. This author is a mastermind.🤯🤯
Adding her to my list of favorite authors. Needless to say, 5 stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was INSANE. That's all I can think to say.
4 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Themes: Affair, Missing child, Manipulation, Narcissist, Small town
Please comment recommendations of similar books/ other cozy mysteries!
Just finished this audio book and it continuously made me laugh out loud! A unique and funny story with well rounded characters about a murder in a Chinese tea shop and the unlikely friendships formed from it. I learned this genre is called "cozy mystery," and I'm on the hunt for more of these!
5 stars! ?????
If you have a library card, you can listen for free on the Libby app. ?
This book was unnecessarily sad. It's like the author kept asking,"How can I make this scene more depressing than it is?" It's like a Vietnamese Cinderella with no prince st the end. 3 stars cause the story was told well, but idk if I can recommend it.
If you served or are close to someone who served or a fallen solider, PLEASE USE DISCRETION. SOME SCENES ARE VERY GRAPHIC
I can't describe how remarkable and heart breaking this book was, so I won't even try, because I know I won't do it justice. You'll just have to read it for yourself. Kristin Hannah 's best book yet! This one has deepened my perspective and it's one that will be with me for many many years to come.
So far, amazing.
Finished this book in 23 hours!
I've found it hard to not rate every good book five stars because it feels disloyal to the characters. I know it's silly. 😅
Topics: sisters, surrogacy, loss of a parent
I'm going to rate it a 3.5 🌟🌟🌟✨ because it was a good story but also a nice easy read.
I don't know why people watch TV when books like this exist!🤯
This Christian fiction book is like an adorable Hallmark movie! I've read all the books in the series out of order and it still made sense. (I didn't know it was a series until it was too late.)
-Appalachian Trail
-Love Triangle
-Small town scandal
-Reuniting with family
-Making peace with grief
First book of 2024! This book took me a few weeks to read but only because I am, unfortunately, easily distracted. However, I finished the whole second half of this book in the last 24 hours. At first I was going to give it 4.5 stars but by the ending I'm giving it 5. Susan Meissner never disappoints!
Topics in this book:
-Synthesia
-Eugenics
-Adoption
-WW2
A very quick read about a tragic romance of mixed classes in 1953 Tehran. I really loved it and fly through it!
I've probably read ten or so fiction books about WW2 and they all come from different perspectives. It is a story about two women on different sides of the war, switching between Germany and America. I learned so many things that I had never even heard of before, like Mittelwerk.
I learned about Project Paperclip, the Dust Bowl, & Kristallnacht. It wasn't violently graphic but it had me emotional at times because of how helpless things could be.
I really love this author. This is my second book by her and I was so excited to see how she had woven characters from her other book into this one and I think it's a testament to her talent. I'm giving it a solid 🌟🌟🌟🌟. It didn't get five because the other ones I recently read that were five stars had more complicated plots. This book is very reminiscent of a Hallmark movie. (probably because her books usually become hallmark movies lol)
I think the idea for the book is a good one but I don't like the writing style. I think the author spent too much time describing things that didn't need to be described and not enough time where they needed to me. I ended up bailing at page 60. For me, if I don't enjoy a book I am not going to carry on to finish it if it's not fun.
About the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake and Fires. Was a solid four star all the way through but by the time I hit the end it was definitely a five star! I loved all of the characters and learning about a "new to me" historical event.
I don't even know what to say besides this might be the best book I've ever read! Idk what's better, this or The Nightingale. 🥰😭🥰😭✨✨✨
Omg how adorable! I read this in under 48 hours which is very fast for me. I love these giddy and unique romances. So much fun 🥰🥰❤️🔥
I really wish I could have given this a pick but I can't. The characters were realistic and so we're there dynamics and inside jokes. However, it didn't build as much as most stories do and then the ending just hung there like a flat sour note in a song. Made me feel like "um ok? And then what?" part of me wishes I didn't finish it tbh.
I feel guilty for reading all the books with sexual content lately but, tbh, I love it. I love the tension and the "oh wow," factor of it all. This story has that but it is way more too. A story about forgiveness and forgiving yourself. I love Colleen Hoover's work. She is so so talented
A lot of spice 🌶️🌶️and a lot of feels! 😍😍 Not a life changer but I enjoyed the story a lot. I listened to in instead of read and my only criticism is that I thought Ally's personality changed somewhat when told through the POV of Daniel. Was a lovely beach read.
This author is hot or miss for me but I enjoyed this one. I listened to this one and after finishing I realized I wouldn't have kept going if I read it instead. Taylor did a really good job shaping and designing the characters.
I read this book in under two days I loved it so much. This is my first from this author and I look forward to reading more by her!
I am having SUCH a hard time understanding the wording of this book. Did anyone else struggle with it?
I really enjoy her writing. The characters were well thought out and had a lot of personality. I didn't want this story to end but was satisfied when it did. I guessed somethings correctly, some not. The only thing that bothers me about this author is that she feels she needs to add "woke" things into it when it doesn't fit the characters overall personality at all. It makes me roll my eyes. Feels forced and out of place. But overall, I LOVE it!!

I really like the story but one of the main characters is such a narcissist and I'm not sure how I feel about that yet. 🤔
He's not this fat, it's the angle lol.
When I first started this book I wasn't sure how I was going to feel but the story wrapped up in a wonderful way.
I really enjoyed this story. I loved watching the main character grow and learn who she really is and why. My second book by this author and I'm loving her work. 💜
We have a family friend who's husband is being put on hospice. I wanted to send her a "blind date with a book" box and was curious on a book(s) to send.
Being someone who's husband has had cancer myself, I don't want to send her a book about grieving or encouragement because that takes your mind back to the pain. Instead, I'm wondering what books made you laugh, that you got lost in, or got you through a tough time. TIA
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This story was the definition of creativity. It's about a young boy with Aspbergers and narrated by his imaginary friend. I may have cried once or twice. Sometimes I read stories like this to understand my brother better and it's always an emotional ride. 🥹🥲😭💜
Great character development and story line. Got much spicier than I expected lol 🌶️🌶️🌶️
This is my first time reading from this author and I loved it so much that halfway through the book I pre-ordered her newest release on Amazon! This book had be feeling all those girly feels!
I have a new author to follow! I loved this story, the characters, and the inner monolog she throws in. I can't wait to read my next book by her!
This isn't a story with a lot of tension and highs and lows, instead, it's more of a stroll through a family's life showing love, judgement and everything in between. I enjoyed reading this and getting to know the characters. They all felt very real.
I like the idea but I wish the characters had more depth and were more well rounded. However, I can see how someone would disagree with me. For some reason it just didn't hit quite right with me. It wasn't a story that I walked away from that made me so happy that I read it.
There were times when I didn't find it a "real page turner" and there were times when I did. In the last few pages it all came together like a nicely wrapped gift that I had untied and now I can't stop crying. Absolutely love and recommend this book
Kristin has done it again! In my opinion it was far better than The Great Alone but not QUITE as good as Night Road or Nightingale but definitely still worth the read. Amazing! One of the best authors at creating full rounded characters.
I didn't want this book to end and now I'm so sad I am no longer a part of it. I loved every minute of this story. 💜 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really enjoyed this book but I must say, the ending was so abrupt that I kept flipping through the acknowledgments wondering where the rest was. How did it end like that?! Like there were at least 20 pages left?! I feel like I have emotional whiplash that will never be resolved. I really enjoyed the book and want to give it a pick very badly but because of this ending I will give it a So-so
Im not sure how I feel about this book. I'm torn between thinking it's beautiful and hating the main character. I can't blame her for doing what she does because she never had a support system but still it makes me upset. I almost bailed a few times but I am glad I finished. Sorry for the lame review but I don't think I have words to describe it fully.
