Great message. A little sad. Would save for older readers 3rd and up

This is a great story to help children work through anxious emotions. Wonderful tool to assist in social emotional learning.
This charming and relatable tale uses vibrant illustrations and gentle rhymes about a dinosaur who learns to cope with his worries. The story encourages children to embrace their feelings and find comfort in the world around them. It conveys the message that it‘s okay to worry, but also offers strategies for overcoming those anxious moments.

Beautiful book! I usually sit in the JF area. Today I noticed a new addition called a Lactation Pod. A great idea for nursing moms, but I would be claustrophobic in there. Unless it contains a Narnia-like portal to a magical forest…
I loved this one! Olsen and Arnett offer mindfulness tips to children throughout the book to help alleviate stress and anxiety. There is a page at the end that explains the techniques used in the narrative in more detail. I also adored the illustrations. I‘m tempted to check out the other book they wrote featuring Hattie Harmony! #PictureBook #BBRC #LetterH
1. A few years ago we started doing Lobsters for Christmas Dinner 🦞 so that‘s been our family‘s new tradition. Def 1 I look forward to.
2. I love the Word Search.
3. Book + blanket + boozy hot cocoa with cookies in the oven. I only have a fake tree now, I used to like a real tree so maybe an evergreen candle too

A very charming book about facing anxiety in childhood. I loved the incisive illustrations and calm tone. It was also sweet that it has anxiety management strategies in the end of the book. #Inclusive #PictureBook #Anxiety #MentalHealth
Sorry for the weird contrast.
It‘s à mixed reading experience for me : the writing is dated, full of religious references and sexist. But on the other hand, I find myself highlighting a lot of quotes... and adding snark notes to the sexist bits ;)
