Wasn‘t as good as previous works like All the Light We Cannot See, but still a very good book.

Great book all around. Relevant plot to todays day and age as well.
Not a good book. Predicted the ending about 35% way through. Poorly written, albeit a first novel for someone who‘s traditional medium is music. I wouldn‘t waste the time as the juice wasn‘t worth the squeeze.
A sequel that didn‘t require a sequel. Nowhere near as good as the first book but I knew to expect that going in. I‘d avoid it if you enjoyed the first book and don‘t want to tarnish the opinion you have on it.
Can‘t wait to check this book out this week! I have very low expectations because sequels that don‘t usually warrant sequels are not always the best. Hope I‘m wrong for the most part.
Haven‘t posted in a very long time! Going to be starting this one later today. Does anyone have any opinions on The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt?
Good book. Not nearly as scary as described. Didn‘t find it‘s scary at all actually. Definitely had me turning pages to find out what happened though! Loved this quote near the end of the book. “Fantasy was always a Reality waiting to be turned on.”
The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss won the vote so that‘s next!
Need some help! Don‘t know which of these to read next and figured I could get some help from you guys! I‘ve only got about 110 pages left in NOS4A2 and will be done it shortly. Figured I could check in later tonight to see what everyone thinks and go from there!
Thanks for those who decide to reach out with the recommendations!
100 pages into this book. One of the easiest reads I‘ve encountered lately. The way the chapters are laid out, there‘s really no break in the story. I think it‘s fantastic so far, but, wish I didn‘t see trailers for the show which has allowed me to only see Zachary Quinto as Charlie Manx.
Still one of the best books I‘ve ever read. Remember picking this up about 2 years ago on a whim, and ended up finishing it three times over the course of a long weekend. Plot was fantastic, nostalgic, and truly grasped my attention from the opening chapter. This is a book I recommend to anyone who is into 80s pop culture, or just video games in general. This is the type of book that can then non-reassess, into readers. Way better than the movie.
About 175 pages into this book and just realizing I should have picked up this books years ago. Fantastic so far
Predicted the ending about 60% way through the book. I‘ve found his writing style to become very predictable over the years and sometimes wish it wouldn‘t take 5 years to put out a book, just to have the same types of endings and plot twists occur in every single book.
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline was easily one of my favourite books that I read in 2016. Not only 2016 actually, ever. This was a fantastic book for anyone into gaming, pop culture, movies, music or anything 1980s. I'm over the moon that Spielberg is making this into a movie and the trailer looks amazing. I can't wait!
Premise of the book was fantastic. I thought that it would be absolutely killer as I'm a sucker for any kind of book where an animal or insect is the threat or plot device, however, this one fell a little short. I'm not a fan of books that read like television series or end of cliff hangers like a television season ending. This was one of those types of books. It was good for what it was but that's about it!
